Mary Worth 1742

That pizza parlor has more menu choices than Penn Station has trains.

This series of New York clichés just doesn't work without "You Make Me Feel So Young" playing in the background.

"How's the pizza in Santa Royale?"

And with that, we may well have the most inane single line of dialogue ever penned, by any scribe, anywhere. I simply don't know where things can go from here; I'm thinking maybe a two or three week discussion of the pizzeria's sturdy formica countertops.

Even so, I do have to acknowledge that Moy has by no means lost her knack for overwriting - it's going to take a while to recover from yesterday's image of Mary living in "the spectacular now!"

At last, a food item that Uncle Joe can render recognizably! The sight of Mary Worth eating pizza, while somewhat mind-boggling, makes her seem a little more human. I gotta agree with Muscato about the dialog, although we probably can't expect K2 to give us a Jon Stewart rant about the glories of New York pizza.

Again with the pointing.

OMG! Chin Pizza!

That sure doesn't look like any pizza I'm used to. Where's the cheese?

It looks more like a nice thin slice of watermelon. Pink rules the Worthiverse!

I'm with @Anonymous7:55... my first thought was that it was a some kind of edible triangle with salmon spread but the watermelon makes more sense. Oh, wait. That means it can't be that either because whatever is depicted CAN'T make sense.

Anonymous at 7:55 AM, I also thought it was watermelon. It's just about a match for Mary's coat. And who broke an egg yolk on K2's head?

If I didn't know Karen Moy better, I'd think Mary is contemplating ditching dull Santa Royale for the teeming-with-life NYC. That will not happen, though - how could Charterstone in particular and Greater Santa Royale in general function without Mary's meddling?

I recently turned 50. Pizza is no longer something I crave. I really admire these two, and hope they have packed some Tums.

Toots McGee, Chin Pizza should be nominated as Special Guest Appearance in the Worthy Awards!

I'm impressed with MW and KK. They're eating pizza with their hands and not in the Trump style (with knife and fork).

Wanders, I'm 65, and still consider pizza to be nature's perfect food. I prefer mushroom and green pepper, and with a lot more cheese than Mary and Ken are having.

Yes Ken, in Santa Royale our pizza is shaped like a colored blob, just like our meats, vegetables, breads, desserts, ice cubes and beverages. That way, we can gum them on dentureless Fridays.

Didn't anyone ever tell these two they shouldn't talk with pizza hanging out of their mouths?

(They must feel out of place, since it's "men-with-brown-hair-in-blue-coats-and-women-with-blond-hair-in-light-blue-coats" day.)

So does K2 have one of those reversible jackets - one side with stripes, the other without? Strange that he switches back and forth during the day though.

Stripes are for eating Ahi Pizza:

KenKen has many allergies that cause him to break out into pinstripes. Pizza is one of the triggers. He thought that ordering without cheese might help, but this doesn't seem to be working.

These allergies often cause his yellow hair to turn gray. Or is it from gray to yellow? Maybe Dr. Jeff can figure it out.

I am convinced that Moy writes this s*** to spite us.

Tomorrow, they'll have dirty water dogs, knishes and cheesecake. I sure hope Mary doesn't have acid reflux.
