Mary Worth 1783

Perhaps the least encouraging thing a mother could ever tell a child.

Welcome Back! We did the best we could, though, without a rudder at the helm...

We all missed you.

Wanders, welcome back! If you look at the comments from the last two weeks, you'll see how much you're loved by your Worthiverse family. Now we're free to. Be totally snarky again (in a family friendly wat, of course.)

'O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
Wanders has returned! Welcome back! We were beginning to descend into chaos! Now, where is Mary?

Welcome back. Twelve days without Mary Worth = nothing to catch up.

This panel's illustration defies
description. That grocery bag is a vortex, sucking in Reality.

WOO HOO! Wanders is back! Now we can all breathe our collective sigh of relief and turn our focus back to the Worthiverse. (My only question is, how could our fearless leader go for 12 days without reading Mary Worth?!)

Welcome Back, Wanders! You missed a lovely walk with Wilbur and Iris -- and not much else!

Why doesn't someone suggest that Tommy take classes at University with his mom and Dawn? Think of the drama!

Welcome back Wanders. You missed...NOTHING! The only thing you missed is the suspension of belief that an ex-con convicted of selling drugs can take the Post Office exam.

BTW, that is the biggest chair I've ever seen!

Welcome back, Wanders! We missed you so much!

I didn't view yesterday's full strip until today (click "Buy a Print" in Comics Kingdom). Iris exclaiming, "My son, my son...my only son!" is profoundly off-putting - ugh. That woman has major problems. Maybe she and Frannie's Mother can get a group discount on therapy.

In the second panel of today's strip, Iris resembles H_ _l_ _y C_ _ n_ _ n.

Kit Kat,

That was the collapsing building despairing over its son!

Welcome back, Wanders. I hope everything is o.k., or at least bearable.

Wanders, we missed you! A ship sailing without a rudder at the helm, indeed!

I was so heartened to see Wanders' version of Sunday's unrecognizable panel enlarged so that we can make out Iris' entreaties to Tommy enhanced by--her shopping bag?? . . .I had NO idea what that illustration was until now. If Wanders hadn't come back just in time to post this, I would be checking my eyeglass prescription and wasting a bunch of time. . .Thanks for your enduring public service to our community, M. Wanders.

No sign of Wanders during that time. No sign of Mary. Do the math.

Oh Yahoonski, you went there!

Yay, Wanders has wandered home! Welcome back!

You might want to rethink this "no drug dealing" rule, Iris. It's almost the only thing we know Tommy's good at (the other thing being shoplifting).

Welcome back, Wanders! We all need a break from the insanity once in a while.

Sober perhaps, but apparently also stupid.

(and welcome back Wanders)

Tuesday:

--Wanders returns, now Mary returns. Hmmmmm.
--Wilbur's New Math: Iris being "kinda busy" + "Don't come in; Tommy may be sleeping" = PROMISING! I get the impression anything short of an all out rejection is promising to Wilbur.

We need to put Wilbur to work on balancing the Federal Budget.
