Mary Worth 1921

Hmmm. Looks like Sean is considering a move to Charterstone. They don't have a shuttle, but, hey, he can still drive.

Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Cliche Theater. Today's presentation is "Exploring Death and Grief."

If you were to draw a line across the man's eyes in this panel, and another line through his mouth, the lines would converge on his left shoulder. I can't tell what plane his nose is on, but if it were my nose, I'd be on a plane out of here.

No one in Santa Royale ever dies, they are "lost." Sean Hastings and Hanna Dingdon should have been more conscientious with their spouses.

In the first panel, is that a door or window on the left side of the hall? Whatever it is, the baseboard runs across it, making it a tripping hazard. What kind of senior amenity is this?

Meanwhile, upstairs in Room 203...
Mary: Felicia, hello... your room is...nice..

Felicia: Oh, hey, Mary, I'm just having a pre-lunch snack. The meals here are sometimes a bit sparse. Where's your friend?

Mary: She's downstairs chatting with a Mr. Hastings- he seem very-

Felicia: OMG! Not "Hands" Hastings! We've got to get down there before --!

Mary: Before what?

Felicia: Before they run out of Salisbury steak and rice-a-Toni.

Commenting on this story line is like commenting on the drama of reading the phone book.

Hmmmph! Still more interesting than watching a piece of cloth wipe a chin.
And now I'll continue:

As one of the more compelling characters to have ever graced the panels of Mary Worth, I believe that Chin Napkin has earned our respect. I can only hope that we will soon be graced with the presence of our elegant and beloved serviette.

Don't hold your breath waiting for the reappearance of Clothman. I have it on good authority that moist towelettes are the wipe of choice at Somerset.

"At Somerset, we like 'em wet,
The Bum Boat likes them dry;
And if you eat at Jerry's,
Your sleeve is what you'll try."

Aaaargh! Another problem will be solved by LOVE! It's just so simple, Ms. Moy, isn't it?

@Shmoopie, but aren't you hoping against hope for a triangle with Hanna/Amy/Sean? I know I am.

Tis true, Meg. Chin Napkin is most likely to be found in the better eating establishments. If perchance Mary visits her old friend Ken in New York, I would expect to see Chin Napkin there. Although with work being what it is these days, it is hard to tell where he might show up.

Carley, not a chance in heck of anything involving angles happening. Ha, ha, ha! The mere thought! Moy is a strictly linear person and will not deviate from a chosen path. What would be next if we start doing fancy shapes instead of plodding along at a reasonable, steady pace? A three-dimensional story line? I don't think so!

I may seem bitter, but it's only directed at the inept creators of this strip. I do so enjoy all the funny scenarios all our commenters have been coming up with. So much talent and imagination! Kudos to all!
