From Wikipedia, The Mating Habits of the Dingdon: "When attracted by the offerings of the male, the female dingdon flattens her gills, tightens her hide, and raises her feathers giving her a more youthful appearance. The thickening of her limbs makes her appear stronger, indicating to the male that she is still capable of producing offspring."

Sean's mustache appears to be growing directly out of his nostrils, which must impair his breathing somewhat. And what is that pink thing in the corner of the panel?
Wanders, your Wikipedia quotation about the mating habits of the Dingdon is hilarious! Thanks for starting my day with a laugh. Of course, still capable of producing offspring like Amy might be off-putting to prospective main squeeze Sean.
@fauxprof at 7:14 AM, the pink thing is a sort of settee, with a fuchsia plaid toss pillow (see Monday's strip). Part of Somerset's unique decor.
What is that gray thing in (whoever's) hand in panel 2??? If it's Hanna's hand, I suspect she is getting Sean on record with a digital recording device for the next time she DOES ask him for a ride. . . Sean could also be recording Hanna's protestations for future listening enjoyment... weird.
I think that is one of the activities the residents can sign up for on the bulletin board - Car Rides With Sean.
Hanna is not getting prettier, as the panels suggest. They are showing us what Sean sees when he looks at her.
In fact, the only reason why he is wandering around in whatever that room is that contains a sofa, ancient filing cabinets, a bulletin board, and colonoscopy posters is that he lost his way trying to get back to his room from the poker game.
They took away his driver's license years ago, but that hasn't stopped him. He steals the nurses' keys and gets into their cars and drives like Mr Magoo all over the parking lot. He then gets out, convinced he is someplace new. Hanna is in for some fun times!
Oh, fauxprof, the mustache growing right out of Sean's nostrils! Now that you've pointed it out, I can never unsee it. So disturbing!
Hanna's flip phone is at the ready. Sean seems so nice and there is no reason to think that he'd do anything untoward.
By Christmas, they'll be married and living at Somerset in Sean's digs, and that will dispense with any picky Waiting List Plotline. Oh, and Amy and Gordy will be Fine With It. Probably Sean has a son who can help Amy in some way. EZPZ, as one of my own readers commented.
