Meanwhile, Dave is telling his buddy Mike, "And our dual incomes will let me finally achieve the lifestyle of my dreams!"
In honor of Amy being able to quit her job, I've added the song Pretty Woman to the Jukebox.
But, really, I can't say it better than Josh did today at the Comics Curmudgeon.

So the resolution (ha!) to this endless plot is this: Women, if you have ANY kind of problem, a man will appear and make everything hunky dory (maybe even easy peasy). Ain't love grand?
I hope the job Dave makes enough money at is something illegal and dangerous, with no health care or 401K.
The only way that KM can wrap up any plot(s) is to have a Man step in. In this case, she needed two.
Holy crap, is she scary.
I'm dumbfounded. The kid's in school all day. Why wouldn't the daughter want to keep working to enjoy the rare feeling that she could quit if she chooses to. How about enjoying not having to pay for health care, dental care etc. separately? How about putting the extra money away in a company matched 401? Sorry if I'm too practical. Oh, I would have told my son to can the phone stat or I'd take it from him.
In a surprise twist, we will learn tomorrow that after finishing winding up, Amy will unleash a powerful haymaker on Hanna's jaw, only to be restrained, ironically, by Ian Cameron, who will rescue Hanna and bring this story full circle.
I have to wonder about this "Dave" person. What's in this for him? Are we to believe that Amy and Gordo are such a great package that he'd be a fool not to make them part of his life ASAP? Or, is it possible that there might be another plot tangent to the Amy/Dave story waiting in the wings that promises to be interesting?
Oh. Wait. DUH! I'm forgetting that the concept of 'interesting plot tangent' or just plain anything 'interesting' exceeds the capabilities of this strip. Never mind.
I'm with Anonymous at 12:02 - someone needs to get punched. This endless story has gone from very, very bad to totally insulting!
And, friends, that is why I get paid less than my male counterparts whenever I am in a non-union job (in a union job now, thank goodness). Employers see women as working "until" (until that first baby, until the man makes enough for her to quit, etc.). Thanks, Karen Moy and Amy...thanks for helping to make it so the "Man" can continue to pay me pin money on the presumption that I am only working until I find some rich dude.
Does Dave have a brother ? Please don't punch me for asking.
You will find that Amy made a significant "loan" to Dave so that he would have the funds necessary to unfreeze his Nigerian bank accounts. In fact, he's on his way there now to personally handle the transaction.
I don't know what else can possibly be said about the absurdity of this story line, but I want to mention that the artwork seems to be off a bit. What exactly is Amy doing with her arm, motion-wise?
