Mary Worth 2004

You really don't need to change a thing, for at least a week! I mean, why would you? Doesn't everybody hang their art adjacent to their acoustic ceiling tiles?

Does this mean we readers will be stuck for another week of the newlyweds? What more is there to say? We missed the scenes of Hanna hanging all her pictures and jamming her shoes into closets. Speaking of pictures, how lovely that Hanna and Sean managed to squeeze in a photo session.

In the tradition of the Worthiverse, we never see scenes from the honeymoon, and the couple disappears, never to be seen again. (Tom and Beth, Adrian and her policeman.) Marriage is that bourne from which none ere return. Thankfully.

When did they even have time to get down to Olan Mills? Does the Santa Royale City Hall have some sort of package deal for quickie marriages and portraits?

Uh-oh, looks like the honeymoon could be over before the honeymoon begins. I suspect they may soon require further counseling from some wise soul to help them cope with the inevitable conflicts that will arise as they commence cohabitation. If only there were somebody they could talk to. Hey, that Wilbur fellow used to write an advice column, didn't he?

This. Story. Will. Never. End.

Wanders, I'm late in wishing MW&M and you a Happy Anniversary. A few years ago, my husband wanted to cancel our home delivery and get the online edition of our local paper. My concern was that the online paper didn't have the comics section. How would I read about Mary's adventures?

A quick search led me to Comics Kingdom and also -- could it be? -- a daily MW blog. It was a joyous moment! A daily digest by someone who understood the absurd world of Mary, with amazing comments, too.

At that time, Jill Black was still disrupting the wedding. What a wonderful time to join this blog. (Oh, if only Jill had attended Hanna and Sean's ceremony!)

Thanks to everyone for sharing this odd obsession. Wanders, I hope you celebrate with a Bum Boat dinner and overnight stay in Goleta.

Peggy, the best may still be to come. We'll find out that Sean has been married multiple times, and each wife has died mysteriously, right after the honeymoon. Then he goes trolling for a new one. Intrigue! Mystery! High Drama! Oh, wait, we're talking Mary Worth, here.
