Mary Worth 2049

"Do you remember how we always liked to go under cover and dress up in costumes? Shave your head and meet me outside, Daddy Warbucks. We're going on a stake out."

Today's strip

Bless your heart, Wanders. If it weren't for you, we'd all be dead from boredom.

Wanders, your comment today was Wander-ful and just barely NSFW.

Did you read the quote in Sunday's strip? "The only way to find true happiness is to risk being cut completely open."

WHAT? Moy is either clueless or a passive aggressive misogynist. This storyline is disturbing on many levels. With Mary's urging, Terry will risk being cut completely open by a delusional, obsessed, and (probably armed) stalker.

Speaking of Sunday's strip, the quote was obviously misattributed; I'm pretty sure it actually came from our old friend Doctor Kapuht. And the halo over Mary's head in the last panel was slightly out of kilter.

Wanders, you hit the bulls-eye! Today's strip reminds me of the "Forbidden Broadway" version of "Tomorrow": "I'm 30 years old tomorrow, and I haven't worked since I played Annie when I was 10....."

I had a busy weekend so am catching up with the Worthiverse today. I see that the Sunday quote was attributed to Chuck Palahniak. I Googled him and found that he describes his work as "transgressional fiction." This is perfect for Mary Worth, where transgressions are committed on a daily basis.

With that full moon in the background and that photo of Terry wearing what looks like the same dress she is wearing in this panel, I imagine a re-make of "The Howling" will transpire on this auspicious evening drive.

I love the halo over Mary's head in the final panel Sunday.

I hope Adam asks Terry if he can borrow some money tomorrow and/or asks Terry to marry him. Anything to GO FASTER. I want to see Adam use his Death Ray soon - otherwise I want them whisked off to New York so we can move onto something else.

Mary, her ear pressed closely against Terry's door, hears this and makes haste to her own place to put on her Sandy costume.

LOL, Wanders. I needed a good laugh.

I missed Sunday's strip. Moy actually quoted Chuck Palahniuk? Wow - he writes some crazy and twisted stuff. IF she reads him, perhaps she has merely been toying with us all this time.....
