Mary Worth 2225

"I belong to the church of Ozma. We await the return of the Munchkins from over the rainbow. They will rule in soft pastel colors and transform Manhattan into a city of emeralds, paved with yellow brick. Would you like to know more?"

"Come along, Olive."

C'mon dude; pick yourself up and get on over to Promise Haven. Look's like we'll be seeing Shelly Cohen on this trip after all.

"I lost my apartment when I couldn't get back on my feet...and here I am - on my tuchus!"

My fellow Worthiversians are right - change this dude's hair and facial hair from gray to yellow, and you end up with Broadway Legend Ken Kensington.

For a city as crowded and bustling as New York, why does it always seem to be deserted everywhere Mary and Olive go? At the botanical garden there was one guy in the background once, and there's no one else on the street this week.

Olive's holiday break from school extends past Groundhog Day, Ash Wednesday. St. Patrick's Day, and Easter.

I used to regard Olive with some sympathy, but her persistent grilling of a homeless man is pretty obnoxious. As to KitKat's very pertinent comment about the length of Olive's school break, perhaps Ed and Evy signed her up for home-schooling, then forgot all about it? Probably interfered too much with their Tee Hee sessions.

"Tee hee sessions" is my new favorite euphemism.

But I really won't be happy til Mary hosts a big lunch for all her New York pals - Dear Old Shelly, down-on-his-luck Ken Ken, Taxi Driver, all of them - catered by John Dill. A boy can dream...

With different coloring, that homeless man could be a sea captain.

I was hoping Mary and Olive would have time to go to the zoo and Times' Square and Sardi's and the Chelsea Hotel.

Stop chatting with Lionel Barrymore already and get going. Olive's winter break only goes through February!

Geez, Bum Bumington, when a lady (or two) enters your alley, at least have the courtesy to stand up!

More unbelieveable dialogue from K. Moy..Can't really imagine someone who lost his wife and son in a car accident simply adding his job loss to his list of ills as if it were equivalent to the loss of his family.... Good thin she isn't a script writer.. She'd be quickly unemployed, just like her faith-filled character..

Not all of Manhattan is crowded and bustling; my neighborhood is pretty quiet, except for Friday and Saturday night.

Toots, the Chelsea closed some time ago.
