Mary Worth 2245

"Mary, can I ask you an important question? Is this how real grown ups talk? Mommy and Daddy only say things like 'easy-peasy' and 'tee-hee Eddie.' But when I'm with you, I feel like such a big girl because we say things that don't make any sense."

"Don't worry, Olive. If any of this was confusing, tomorrow is Sunday and we can rehash the entire conversation."

How does KM imagine her audience? Is she pontificating to all of us commenters, hoping we will lead better lives? Actually, on this blog, we all seem to be nice, if harmlessly snarky people. Nah, she must be after the Comics Kingdom folks. And they're tougher on Rex Morgan and Judge Parker.

Whoa, I had almost completely forgotten about Olive's parents. Was all this nattering on about how personal autonomy is generally a positive thing, but not always, supposed to have me evaluating their behavior and perhaps my own? Because that is not at all what I was getting out of this.

Mary, please shave your hands...

@TP: Olives parents are at home tee-heeing away! They just love the "code word" Rock Center!
