You would think, wouldn't you, Jeff? But actually, the pace was not fast, nor was it exciting. So. Irony.
Did everyone catch yesterday's REVERSE floating head??
And now, dear readers, the Actors Theatre of Greater Metropolitan Santa Royale presents a scene from Mary Worth. (You saw a preview a few days ago, but here's the entire scene.)

...the guest appearance by Emily Dickinson was especially horrifying. And who knew Ty Burrell could do drama so effectively...
As to Monday's strip, isn't that the Mugger's Pier? Are Jeff and Mary current with their mixed martial arts certification?
It's inspiring what the performers of the AT of GMSR can do with stilted, insipid dialogue. True talent really can take lackluster material to a higher level.
@fauxprof, Mugger's Pier was adjacent to the Marina Royale restaurant, but we can hope for a mugging! Let's close our eyes, wish hard, and clap our hands. If it worked for Tinkerbelle,* maybe it'll work now.
*Another baby-boomer reference
I was nodding off and then...EMILY DICKINSON! Her cameo kept me awake for the rest of the scene.
This was Further Proof that KM has no idea what Real Conversation sounds like; no regard for Actual Plot; no idea What Storyline Is or Where This Strip Is Going Next.
Hyaterical. Possibly your best gift to us yet.
The truly emotional and heartfelt feelings between Mary and Jeff are undeniable in your video.
I never realized how natural and flowing the dialogue truly is.
Now I understand why Mary's reverse floating heard is afixed to a brick wall... The video explains it all, although I was a little put off by Mary's having her hair in a bun...
If Mary Worth were a diet it would be white rice and tofu.
That was fantastic, Wanders. The swan boat, the robotic dialogue and the surprise visit from Emily Dickinson were just great. Bravo!
I meant the robotic delivery of the dialogue.
The video clip is absolutely tremendous and I did enjoy Emily Dickinson, but what I think it could really use is Bruce Dickinson and MORE COWBELL! I do so wish there were appearances and video clips from some of our favorite MW characters, esp. Aldo perhaps speaking to us from the afterlife. Netflix exclusive programmers...are you catching this? I'd buy this show, it's like a visual and auditory anesthetic.
Bravo!
BTW, theatre fans should also check out this live action adaptation from a few years back. Wanders, I would love to see this brought to the stage if you're up for it :)

Woah woah woah! This is way too excitable for Mary Worth standards, tone it down you two.
