"Yes, you can tell I am a smart doctor because I'm in the middle of reading a book. Can I help you with something? I'm trying to read here."

How can Tommy go for weeks without shaving and still have exactly the same amount of dirty stubble? Are we sure it's not a skin condition?

Success rate? Is he a doctor or a salesman?

No respectable professionals working in drug rehab would ever talk about their success rate. Drug addiction is an unpredictable condition that's tough to overcome. Moy just keeps trivializing a national crisis. Let's go back to another storyline, like Dawn's ethically challenged professor.

A line of dialogue was inadvertently omitted from p. 2:

Dr. Leone: "Tommy, tell me what you're going through."

Tommy: "Uh..."

Iris: "Be quiet, Tommy, I'll handle this!

Nice giant blotter, Dr. Leone! What's your success rate in filling your fountain pen without spilling the ink?

I wonder if KM ever leaves her apartment or reads a newspaper or credible news publication. Even her "storyline" about Dawn's relationship with her professor was superficial and rife with impossibilities in today's world. She really struggles with contemporary issues. She should stick with banal gossipy stuff and avoid dipping into anything even remotely serious ever again.

Bickering neighbors, petty marital arguments, minor romances...that's more her speed.

Bingo, Nance. It's time for Toby to go shopping on bogus online sites again.

Yawn.
We need some more action. Maybe Tommy will sleepwalk into the Charterstone pool tonight and Mary can dive in and save him. Maybe he and Iris will get mugged this afternoon, and he'll fight off the bad guy and restrain him until the authorities arrive. Maybe Tommy will be sent to the Pax Wellness resort for his detox, and he can practice yoga and go for hikes and eat healthy food and ... yawn.

Next step in this storyline: Tommy goes to New York to escape drug scene, becomes manny for Olive's family.

Shouldn't Tommy be curled up into a ball in the corner of the room by now?

I love the Pax wellness resort idea. He would be very popular in the sharing circle!

In today's installment, Dr. Leone will be portrayed by Rene Auberjonois.

@Nance: YES! Bring on the bickering neighbors! POOL PARTY!!! (Now that Tommy's cured--wow, that was easy!--we can move right along to the next "plot"!)

Agreed Nance. Like I said, KM has no conception of how the real world works. What was Tommy doing for a week without his Vicodin fix? I've been seething through this storyline because it doesn't ring true in the real world. I just want her to get back to Mary making Kelk cookies and self congratulating herself on thinking she's solved other people's problems with her horrid advice or sponging off someone's family for three months. At least I can laugh at things like that.
