"Exactly! And I was caught in front of Mama, so that was very shaming. And so for the last week, I've been experimenting with heroine. Which has helped a lot. No more pain; no more shame."
Apart from the idiocy of Iris even being in the room, she's knee-to-knee with Sonny Boy. Ugh.
"You can tell I'm a doctor, because I use technical terms like withdrawal."
I do appreciate June's Giella-like touches - family photo on display, drapes and ominous-looking large window right behind the desk, toy laptop turned sideways...
Dr: Leone: "Speaking of 'withdrawl', do you have insurance? If not, you will need to withdrawl some funds before we go any further."
BTW--Good call out on the Cobain resemblance, Louise. BTW2-I'm looking forward to see what the hi-fi/medical equipment look like at the clinic. Should be an upgrade from Montville.
June may be as sick of this storyline as the rest of us. She depicts Tommy as more repellent every day. (Sorry, DWET, but the Giella Tommy you found hunky enough for your sister is long gone.)
But, fauxprof, Brigman's Tommy is much hunkier than Giella's Tommy ever was! Sigh! DAWN waited with bated breath for Tommy ... to no avail, because, you see ... Tommy is in love with Mommy! YAY! (Maybe if Dawn had had "baited" breath it would have worked? We'll never know!)
Wanders, gross! TMI! Yuk!
The only thing I'm addicted to is ... MARY WORTH and serious soap-opera "drama"!

Heroin might be an option, if our heroine doesn't start meddling soon.

Maybe June Brigman's image of an opiate addict is caught in a time warp c. 1994. Tommy Beedie bears a stark resemblance to the late Kurt Cobain.
Where's Mary, where are the platitudes, the smug conclusions, the ants, the Kelk flakes???
What fresh hell is this?
Withdrawal??? So that's what it's called.
Dr. Leone: Withdrawal can be difficult, as you've experienced. You just need to spend more time with your mother, then you'll feel better.

@Chin Napkin Groupie: You beat me to the punch! I'm so glad that this quack ... er ... doctor is so eminently qualified!
@KitKat: Tommy is knee-to-knee with Iris because ... Tommy is in love with Mommy! YAY!
Doctor Leone: HMMM. That's withdrawal. Go on.
Tommy: Don't patronize me, cretin!
THURSDAY
