Did you say, "spending more time with mom?" That was Mary's idea! Thanks, Mary.
I always wondered what happened to Sabrina the Teen-Aged Witch...
Is that a patrol car in the parking lot?
How old is Mary now? About a zillion? Goodness, I hope I look like that when I reach her age. One hot mama!
@Anonymous at 8:23 AM has an eagle eye - that sure does appear to be a patrol car in p. 2. Maybe Professor Chinbeard had a run-in with another driver in the parking lot.Tommy's life is an open book. Ooops, make that an open book. Will Dr. Jeff recognize June's Mary, with large blue earrings and false eyelashes? Of course, none of us have seen June's Jeff yet. Who knows what he looks like!
Speaking of Sabrina, the new Mary reminds me of the time when Dick Sargent replaced Dick York on Bewitched and nobody noticed.
Because they were both Dicks.
I'm convinced that during the time that we haven't seen Mary, she had a painting of herself done and it's currently in her closet getting old and wrinkly while she gets younger and younger before our eyes. Either that, or it's "the Curious Case of Mary Worth."
Goodness gracious me! First we lose the plastically perfect Mary Worth of Joe Giella (so appropriate!), and now we lose June Brigman's Mary Worth 1.0, who was haggard and disheveled but at least looked like a woman in her 60's. Now we have to put up with a meddling 30-something busybody?!?! Sheesh!!!By the way, did anyone else notice how Tommy neglected to mention the Bible as one of his steps toward improvement? I think he senses that Mary doesn't care for competition.
Captain Obvious - are you being facetious? (sorry, if is was obvious....) Everyone noticed the new Darren, and Bewitched was never the same!! I can't believe how much I miss the old Mary and the old Worthiverse. :_(
@Delilah at 9:33 a.m. At Mary's age? (Whatever that's supposed to be). Heck, I'd be thrilled to look like this new Mary at 30!
Re: Sabrina and Mary. Which witch?Re: Anonymous. Great observation, but I believe Mary has been deputized to respond with lights flashing in her public safety squad car along with an extremely loud, modified siren... "Tsk, Tsk, Tsk!"
Mary and her grocery bag sprouting celery. Why am I reminded of the art of Art Frahm?
FridayMary: "Nothing worth doing is easy! I should know that because I'm Mary Worth! So stop doing easy things, because they're not worth doing!
She's back! I didn't recognize her at first, but now that she's spouting platitudes--TWO today, one in each panel!--now I'm sure that she's really ... MARY WORTH!
I'm so bored. Pool party please. How can Rex Parker, M.D. and his wife find a new house, view it, decide to buy in, close escrow, move out of old place, move into new place, have pizza, discover secret room in the new house and get unpacked. ALL IN UNDER TWO WEEKS!Are you listening Moy? The last two weeks have been glacial in comparison. How many more times does Tommy need to tell us about his meetings, book, mommy, etc.
This is the most insipid conversation in the history of conversations.
Tommy, darling, I’m NOT where I want to be yet, either, but I’m GETTING there. THANK GOD! I’m not sure where you want to be Tommy, but I want to be at the Charterstone pool party, slurpin’ down margaritas, piggin’ down chicken salad appetizers, and chattin’ up the neighbors! Care to join me?I think from today’s strip that we’ll really get to have a pool party soon! For those of you who find the dialogue vapid—and really, who doesn’t?—you can make it fun by READING IT OUT LOUD and SHOUTING all the words in BOLD! It really gives your vocal cords a workout!
yeah, Tommy, now you can look forward to 2 or 3 years at the suboxone clinic at about $275 a week. did I say 2 or 3 years ? I've never heard of any one weaning off suboxone at all. unless they're dead.
here's something for Tommy to ponder; a post from drugs.com: Default Day 6, Suboxone Withdrawal. How long will these lesser symptoms last? Hello Everyone, i'm 27 and going through Suboxone withdrawal. I was on Suboxone for about a total of 3 years. I was on Oxy's for about a year before starting Suboxone. Suboxone started to turn on me in the last year and made me feel really bad, was giving me anxiety attacks, trouble breathing at night and many other symptoms that made me feel very bad. I decided to make a full commitment and I skipped my last Dr. Appt to get more, I flushed the remaining films I had down the toilet and took a complete week off work (9 days off total with weekends). Days 1 and 2 weren't so bad. Days 3 and 4 were pure hell. I had all the normal symptoms of full blown suboxone withdrawal so there's really no need to mention. But once day 5 came i started to see light at the end of the tunnel. Most of the physical symptoms disappeared. I have slight joint pain which isn't that bad. I can move around a lot, I can stomach a little food and sleep maybe 5 hours a night. What is killing me is the Anxiety and Depression. It seems like no matter what I am doing I am never happy. I also cannot do the same thing for very long... I have to either pace around, do something else etc.
SUNDAYDeja vu again and again. I can't keep seeing the same conversation again and again. I'm going mad! This has to end. I just put a hit out on Tommy. Mr Allorra is expensive but I hear he is good and keeps his mouth shut. It will look like an "accident". Just like Aldo Kelrast.
Oh, Tommy it's great that you're trying to get clean from that nasty drug habit that started when I took you to the doctor's office and watched him prescribe you Vicodin, all while I stood by and said NOTHING. ... By the way, you can call me Mary, since we're such good friends, and, as they say, with friends like me, who needs ... wait, how does that saying end?
