At first, I thought that was Wilbur tapping her shoulder because, you know, it would be too obvious, even though there hasn't been a moment of doubt in Wilbur's mind that might signify a change of heart because in the Worthiverse who needs logic. But then I realized the hand is in excellent shape. If that were Wilbur's hand, it would look more like this:

Does Iris have a new suitor? Or is he a stalker? Perhaps she's about to be arrested? At any rate, it would seem we may have a new plot development. That could be welcome--except that it involves Iris.
@fauxprof, the way KM writes, "suitor/stalker" is a good possibility. Maybe the hand belongs to a newbie nontraditional student who needs help navigating the campus and has happened upon Iris.
I'm entranced by the people in panel 1. They are worthy (no pun intended) of Uncle Joe's undercover Secret Service a la Mod Squad agents. Maybe June has been studying Wanders's strip archive.
Excuse me, my name is Harlan. Would you care to join Alfie and I for some parkour?
Isn't that Wilbur's pork pie hat that has fallen out of Iris's tote? Couldn't she have found a less disgusting memento? Yuck...

If Iris is being stalked by a short, invisible guy with a funny hat, this strip is definitely taking a turn for the better.
Oh, Wanders, you are a caution! ... XXOO Love, DWET
After reading the other comics, I just have to post again! So, in Mark Trail, we have characters fleeing molten lava from an exploding volcano, in Judge Parker, we have murder, skullduggery, and dysfunctional family drama, in Rex Morgan, we have an elderly dementia patient being ripped off by a shady character--who then gets his comeuppance!--and in Gil Thorp, we have a female football player defying stereotypical gender roles, but in Mary Worth, what do we get? The same old boring tripe! NOTHING! Aarrrrggghhh! @#$%!!!
