Mary Worth 2476

If they're looking at the moon, then what is that giant orb in the sky to their left? Maybe it is the UFO that just beamed up an entire department store.

The slowly falling autumn leaves certainly lend a certain je ne sais quoi to the holiday street scene.

Maybe Iris and Zack can catch them like snowflakes--with their tongues.

OOPS! I meant to say ZAK.

Uh oh, are we about to witness a smooch? This relationship is moving at warp speed, especially for KM. Contrast and compare Mary and Dr. Jeff.At this rate, Zak will be moving in with Iris by Christmas. "Tommy, your gift this year is a new Stepdad! Or something..."

Yes, I think we're about to see June's rendering of a kiss. But I have a feeling it won't look anything like Uncle Joe's attempts. Miss you, Uncle Joe!

Oh, and back a few weeks ago, I predicted that Dawn will witness Iris and Zak's kiss; could she be doing a little late night Christmas shopping?

From the second panel, I get the feeling that Zak may be a werewolf.

Iris: Desperate or Fast? Which is it?

Neither of them have ever noticed the moon before? Isn't that romantic, by which I mean clueless. I really hate Iris as a main character. Consider this a formal protest!

smooth: Oh, those are leaves. I thought maybe they were feathers from the Christmas chicken somebody just slaughtered in a second-floor apartment.

Smooth: where I live, in Las Vegas, the leaves turn and fall this time of year. My street is covered with them. So if Santa Royale is meant to be Southern California, that would be accurate.

Hi Laura,

My best guess is that Santa Royale if Santa Barbara. References are made occasionally to Goleta which is next to Santa Barbara in real life.

Does anyone else recognize the guy in the blue hat? I think he is the mole that Adam Miller and Teri Bryson used when they were undercover.
4-1-15.

Zak obviously has something to hide and huggie bear light is keeping an eye on him for Adam and Teri.

Wow, I had no idea that Wilbur is in another remake of "The Thing"!

Oh, goody! In panel 1, there's a teddy bear for Zak! Won't Tommy be jealous! (Iris, pretty soon, you're going to wish that you were off in Antarctica with Wilbur!)

Yes, Iris is no doubt sorry she's not in a WWII-era Quonset hut at the South Pole with unshaven Wilbur and his fingerless gloves, the shadow of a menacing Wookie looming over him. I personally prefer my unshaven men to be young and handsome.

New game, guys! It's called "Where's Wilbur?" and we've already got entrants. Both the arctic and the antarctic have been mentioned. Josh over at the Comics Curmudgeon posits an unheated tanker ship. I would have said NE Ohio, but the sun is out today, so I'm going for an airstream trailer at the top of Mt Washington in New Hampshire.

Wherever he is, Wilbur is obviously Googling the phone number for the local Pizza Igloo to see if they'll deliver two large, mayonnaise-lovers pizzas.

The Gulag wouldn't have wifi so I need to rule that out. I would love to say spaceship but intelligent beings would never have a lamp like that so that is out too. It has to be a ship but what kind? Ghost pirate ship? Russian fishing boat? Costa Concordia?

Today's work has consisted of Wilber looking at the on-line menu from Jerrys Sandwich shop all day.

Time to turn on the web cam hidden in the nutcracker so he can stalk Iris for a bit.

Looks like Wilbur got sent to an oil sands work camp north of Fort McMurray. The weather there's okay now, but it got as cold as -45 C last week. There was a big fire there recently too.

Either that or he's on some sort of ice-breaker ship in the Arctic. I'm not sure what disaster he'd be covering up there though. Global warming?

Perhaps he's covering a mine disaster in Siberia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vorkuta_mine_disaster

Also, Iris' nose makes her look like a snub-nosed monkey.
