Iris has a falling out with Tommy (what is Tommy doing these days anyway?). Iris breaks up with Wilbur. Iris has a falling out with Dawn. Iris breaks up with Zak. Iris is miserable. Seems that Mary's magic meddling powers aren't working out so well for Iris. Maybe some Kelk cookies or ghost pie would help Iris feel better?
This is so agist! What? Should Iris date an octogenarian just because she's BFFs with Mary Worth? Tobey Cameron didn't have to! Zak and Iris are star-crossed lovers, yet somehow, this strip makes it boring ... drama avoidance! Example: Iris and Dawn at the disco--it could have been a fantastic explosion, but it was more like a burp of boringness.
I have a haiku for Iris and Zak:
Zak kisses Iris. Birds fly overhead, crapping On Iris's head.
We didn't get to see it, but it sums up the feeling of the past weeks, at least for me.
@KitKat: You are right about Mary watching The View, but just for the crafting segments. Mary USED to watch The Price Is Right, but her neighbors downstairs complained , because whenever she heard "Com'on down" she would run screaming from her kitchenette to her favorite living room chair. She just loves Bob Barker.

Later, Mary arranges to bump into Zak at school.
Oh, hi, Zak, you're Iris' friend, aren't you?
Who?
Iris.
Name sounds vaguely familiar.
Today's Boldface Haiku is titled "Get Thee To A Chiropractor, Go!"
Young friends, care; them.
Mutual?
He...realize...best!
Difficult.

"I know this is difficult. Now, could you please leave, Iris? You're getting my sofa wet, plus it's almost time for 'The View.'"
