"Cruises offer a chance to see foreign lands in an easy way." What on earth does that mean?

This infomercial is so blatant it's comical. Tomorrow I expect Mary and Toby to turn toward the reader and announce a special discount price especially for Mary Worth fans along with an 800 number and urgent advice to "ACT NOW!"

Today's Boldface Haiku is titled "Because This Is An Ad For The Cruising Industry, All The Characters Do Is Read From The Laptop-A-Prompter".

Love wide array entertainment options!
Foreign lands easy way!
Food! A lot! Fun!
No problem embark!

Geez. I'd much rather have seen it drawn like this.

Holy crap. Just imagine my Haiku in Boldface. Having some coffee vs. cat issues this morning. Sigh.

Good one, @Nance!

See foreign lands in a new way? Then why don't they just go to that ersatz international thing at Disney World? So simple and sanitized!

I don't think anyone has flown anywhere since June took over. I wonder if her planes have big square windows, too. Since we've been at the trip planning stage for a couple of weeks now, the flight from California to Florida should probably take about a month. This cruise should see us through Christmas, maybe beyond. As long as it's Beedie-free and provides Nance with boldface haiku fodder, I'm in!

Plane flight thought balloons are premium floating head opportunities as well.

Ah, I see the Seattle Chamber of Commerce has joined the fun and purchased some ad space in MW.

Uh-oh... A cruise from Florida throughout the Caribbean?? Think they might have to sit through a time share presentation to get a good deal.

How nice that the Cameron's are such a well-heeled couple, taking vacation after vacation. The clown paintings and gray clay sculptures must be flying off Toby's studio shelves.

Camerons, not Cameron's - darn autocorrect!

Today's Boldface Haiku is titled "Wow! With Such Vivid Dialogue, I Feel Like I'm There!".

Seattle?
Yes, jealous. Beautiful, new trip!
Is. Enjoy!

Especially in panel 2, KM is demonstrating how robots talk. I would love to comment more, but I have to go for a run now. Running is a healthy form of exercise. While running, I will admire the beauty of nature. After running, I will be tired but satisfied. A healthy snack will restore my energy. It is important to ... beep beep boop boop ... WARNING! WARNING! System overload! Initiate self-destruct mode. Self-destruct mode initiated. In 10, 9, 8, ....

Oh, barf. So boring. When will Mary and Toby board the Bosta Bombordia II and set off for high-seas hijinks?

SUNDAY
An innovation by KM: Today she actually regurgitates ideas from the past couple of weeks, not simply the past one. Maybe SHE'S on a cruise. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Sunday's strip resurrects Thursday's Toby-as-Mr.-Bill panel. Sad!
