Mary Worth 2632

Hey, June Brigman must be a magician, too! That's exactly what she did when she took over the artistic responsibilities last year. I sure wish she was drawing my life.

Per Wanders's secret message, it's unfortunate that the ship photographer didn't document the Katie-Esme smack down. Esme would be perfect for Wilbur Weston's "I'm Alive!" column.

Can anyone who's been on a cruise (like fauxprof) explain how Mary instantly got print copies of this photo?

@KitKat, while I can attest that the photo gallery is a real thing on most ships, and that the photographers are ubiquitous, intrusive, and infuriating, I've never actually bought one of their creations. I hate having my picture taken. My online avatars are always kittens, and the only photos of me since my wedding pictures are on my passport and state ID. I would guess that the photo gallery has a couple of prints available for each picture, since no one is going to buy them other than the people depicted. It's all done digitally, so they aren't developing actual film.

Yes, you can get the photos right there on the ship. Even the ones taken at ports of call where you pose awkwardly with costumed characters. I have 3 photos; 2 of my husband and me on our first cruise circa 1996 and 1 of our group of Girl Scouts & moms from 2010. The girls were quite amused at the photos, trying to find the worst ones. Mocking strangers is not something we generally encouraged in Girl Scouts, but, hey, it was a cruise.

Wanders, just be sure that Moy isn’t writing your life stories. : )

Well, when you have a picture aging in a closet, you will look 10 years younger.
