Mary Worth 2641

A perfect example of dialogue that would work better if Katie had allowed Esme to fall to her death. I think I'm just going to imagine that's what really happened.

I don't get this. Are smoking areas unavoidable on cruise ships? If so, this would seem to defeat their purpose. If not, why does Katie keep dragging Derek through them. Does she like torturing him? Is she hoping to run into two-packs-a-day Esme? Or is this one place Katie knows she won't run into Mary?

It's gotta be the third reason.

I would say that the prognosis for the long-term health of Katie and Derek's marriage is still not that great.

“It’s for your OWN GOOD!” I remember my mother prefacing my belt-beatings with that. Poor Derek.

I wonder if there's a Sunday surprise in store for us tomorrow? Yes, I know I'm being unrealistically optimistic, but I'm thinking of poor June. If she has to recap this past week she may give up altogether. I wouldn't blame her for cutting and pasting something together and going out for brunch with her husband instead. Mimosas?

@fauxprof, we're more likely to see Toby guzzling a mimosa while Mary has "plain water."

So what if Derek averts his eyes from that smoker? Is he going to avert his nose too? Sheesh!

I'm with Wanders - I'll picture Katie with a maniacal glint in her eye as she thinks about the End of Evil Entertainer Esme.

Nothing to see here? That perfect little cigarette puff cloud he's exhaling is awesome! Although the dude's hair reminds me we need to get our broken sprinklers fixed or our lawn will die.

Do we at least get a one-panel update on Esme before Mary moves on to her next lame-o adventure?
