I had the same thought. Jeff has apparently given up on Mary and has probably been seeing someone more affectionate. Maybe he's going to drop that little bombshell on Mary during dessert just so he can watch her turn pale -- well, even paler.
Jeff is positively giddy at the prospect that Ted...excuse me, Ted Miller, might have made it to first base with Mary. That speaks volumes about his relationship with Mary.
Joe Giella is retired, but the seagulls remain. They must be a Baren Koy must-have. "June, more SEAGULLS!!"
Oh for God's sake, Jeff. For Mary's next physical why don't you just refer her to your good buddy Larry Nassar.
Miss Scarlett, do you mean where is everybody who's usually here? Or where is the crowd at the Bum Boat? Anyway, given your handle, I just wanted to tell you that I saw a hilarious local production of "Moonlight and Magnolias" today - about the producer, director, and writer for "Gone with the Wind" holed up trying to hammer out a screenplay in the 5 days before shooting is scheduled to start.)

And does Jeff even care? No, he says, I dunno, did it work? I despair of Maren Soy ever making it to the current century, let alone decade or year.

I'm waiting for Mary to pull an Aldo Kelrast on Ted Miller and tell him to scram and capisce.

@ Miss Scarlet, Chester here was busy all day unclogging his bathtub, which was far more interesting than this storyline!
I loved reading all your comments. And Yahoonski, I googled M and M and it sounds like a hoot. I'll have to keep a look out for it.
