Careful, Mary. This is a slippery slope. If you place the one-eyed cat, then next month they'll want you to place the 3-legged donkey. Then the toothless bunny, the turtle with half a shell, the goldfish who can't swim, and the boa who can't constrict.
C’mon, Mary, they asked you to help place the cat, not interview her!
In the real world, shelters have a group of people who are happy to foster animals. Even if none of those folks have available space, I don’t think the shelter personnel would call on some random person who stopped by just once.
Mary should be suspicious that The Animal Shelter knows so much about Charterstone. Has Claudia tapped Mary as an easy mark who she can unload animals on?
I agree with @fauxprof - reputable shelters maintain a list of reliable, knowledgeable people to foster animals. Of course, this is Moy World, which has little congruence with the real world.
Thursday: Happy Thanksgiving all. I am thankful that Mary is the gift that keeps on giving.
Cats are usually intuitive about people. I am surprised that Libby is taking to Mary. I can't see Mary with a pet. Think about it, this a person that polishes doorknobs. She'll be emptying the litter box every ten minutes. She will find someone to dump this poor feline on some unsuspecting sucker.
I am disappointed that we didn't get a Mary "Happy Thanksgiving" panel. I was hoping to see Myster Wynter and Greta at the head of the table.

Cut to Saul attempting to arrange a bow tie to cover Libby's missing eye.
Oh boy, Mary's going to cheer up the one-eyed cat. [eye roll]
Jeez, either she can't take a hint or she gets the hint and is deflecting it by playing dumb.

I'm hoping the cat is the one with an eye patch and a dueling scar.

Today's Boldface Haiku is titled
"As If Having Only One Eye Isn't Burden Enough, Libby Is About To Be Visited By Mary Worth".
Accepts Greta.
Anyone quiet gets along?
Neighbors, friends...
Accident one! Vision's fine!
Oh, poor! See!
