Mary Worth 3020

"I can't tell Jeff to stay away. Heaven knows I've tried."

Sometimes this blog writes itself.

Actually, it doesn't write itself, as you've no doubt noticed that I've missed posting on quite a few days. We hosted Thanksgiving this year, work has gotten very busy, and my oldest daughter is getting married later this month... so the Wanders family has been a little bit busy. I do intend to get the Worthy Award nominations posted by Christmas, and after that, my life should be back to normal in January just in time to host the Awards Ceremony. Thanks to everyone who keeps this blog going, even when I'm not around. So while this blog doesn't write itself, I do feel that it is written by all of us; not just me. Thanks everyone, and happy holidays!

Hey, Wanders, congrats all around!

Mary doesn't seem to be very bothered by kicking kitty to the curb. She really is selfish and heartless.

Best wishes as you star in your own version of Father of the Bride, Wanders! I'm sure your daughter's wedding will be a most happy occasion (and with nothing like an appearance by Drunken Jill Black, thank goodness). All the best to all of you!

I'm still trying to recover from my early-morning sighting of Mary lounging in bed, talking about her boyfriend - gasp. I expect that "figuring out something" translates to "finding some patsy I can palm Libby off on." And who better qualifies as a patsy than Wilbur? By New Year's, he'll be calling Libby "mi amor."

Congratulations Wanders and to the Wanders family. KitKat, I was going say the same thing about Jill Black, lol.

Like Scottie said, Mary is heartless. She takes an animal into her home, knowing that her BF has pet allergies (I guess she forgot Chester the dog. I just think Dr. Jeff hates animals.), now the poor cat is either going back to Animal Shelter or Myster Wynter may be getting a new companion.

If it was me, Dr. Jeff would have to find himself a new girlfriend, but with Mary, people and animals are dispensable.

Goat yoga is very big right now- will it be displaced by cat karaoke?

Today's Boldface Haiku is titled

"Oh Well. Whatever. 'Kay, Bye!".

You me...meant be.
Allergic.
Can't away! Something.

@Wanders--Sounds like a lot of Joyful Busyness! Best wishes.

You know, I love how emotional and poignant this Plot was when adopting a needy pet was Myster Wynter's thing. Now that it's About Mary, it's very brisk and businesslike and not about helping out an animal in need of a home or anything even remotely touching. Typical KM clunking.

Hey Mary, Dawn is STILL in Italy, maybe she needs a kitty! Call Fedex pronto!

If this were Blondie, that nightgown would have slipped fetchingly down over one shoulder.

Mary has had a little "work" done...

Happy to hear, M. Wanders! Glad you weren't just put off by the ennui/insensitivity of Mary's quest to pair Saul Wynter up with a new pet... It was hard to get through that, but somehow we survived to snark again. I can't help noticing that Mary is letting Libby in her bed, which doesn't bode well for Dr. Jeff. Ever...

If it's a choice between the guy and the cat, I'd say choose the cat. After all, Jeff hasn't exactly been making himself useful lately. And there was the Ted Miller Incident. On the other hand, Libby has been testing food to make sure it's safe.

Congratulations Wanders, to you and your entire family. It will be a beautiful winter wedding.

I think Mary is stretching a point by calling Jeff her “boyfriend”. He’s only good for the occasional boat ride and dinner at a third rate seafood shack. Also, in the realm of pillow talk, it looks like Libby has gotten further than Jeff ever has.

I'm waiting for the moment Toby shows up and Libby's trademark "meow" goes to "HISS".

Wanders, congratulations to you and yours! I hope the wedding is great fun.

Mary only sees Jeff about four times a year, and two of those are on the Bum Boat. For the other two, they could just meet at Jeff's house. Of course, since Mary has control issues, that might not work for her.

In all fairness to Mary (I don't know why I feel the need to be fair to Mary, but there it is), she was from the very beginning just fostering the cat. Some foster animals do end up being adopted by their fostee (?), but the idea is that they will eventually live with someone else.

However, of the two, I agree to go with Libby. That cat has some attitude and personality and is an interesting character, unlike Dr. Jeff.

Thank goodness for the circle around the "good" eye. I'd never know which one to look at.
