Mary Worth 3021

I'm having a little trouble knowing how to answer Libby's question. It really all depends on her tone. If she's asking "Meow?" as in a sincere "I'm not?" then the answer is a simple, "No, you are not." But if she's defiant in her tone, such as "Why not?" then Mary will need to explain about the bacteria on Libby's paws lingering from her recent litter box visit, and how cats should never walk on food preparation surfaces. Knowing Libby, I don't think she's going to like that answer at all.

Breakfast is a muffin and a glass of water? Bleah. Continue down that road and you might not be able to dodge another bullet at the doctor's office, Mary.

Libby's looking bedraggled today, as if she fell into a tub of water and didn't dry off well. Meow?

Very soon there will be a new flyer on the Charterstone bulletin board, "FREE CAT" - and Mary will then tell the animal shelter some sort implausible story of how Libby is no more. Either that or Toby gets a "special" Christmas present - meow?

Today's Boldface Haiku is titled

"Perhaps It's Time For Some Advice From That Nice, Older Lady Who Lives Nearby And Makes Muffins...Oh, Wait".

No! Not!
[Meow?]
Sigh! Do?

More Muffins? Mary's freezer must be stuffed with them.

Oh I think we all know what she's going to do with you.

Why does Mary keep asking Libby what is she going to do with her. This is a foster situation. It’s not working out. Bring her back to Animal Shelter. They’ll find someone else just as inexperienced to foster her. My question is why would someone with absolutely no experience with cats agree to foster one and why would Animal Shelter give a cat to someone with no fostering experience. Another fine example of KM not having any clue as to what she is writing about.

Unless of course when Mary does take Libby back to the Animal Shelter because "it wasn't working out" only to find the shelter closed, abandoned, and a sign on the door that says it was closed in 1982. A story twist right out of the Twilight Zone.
