How many times and how many ways can Hugo tell Dawn that she was just a summer fling and that he is going back to gay Paree where everything is much more superior than America. Dawn is as thick as a box of bricks, plus she's making herself look bad by acting clingy and begging him to have a long distance courtship when he has no other interest other than getting home and getting away from her. Besides, isn't it time for Dawn to start her 29th semester at SRCC?
I hate Dawn. She's a sad sack like her father and just as repulsive.
Oh man, she's actually wearing the breakup necklace/bracelet.
I'm not the sort of person to take pleasure in the humiliation of another but, seeing as how Dawn is a fictional character, I'll make an exception here and heartily chortle at this scene.
So Dawn is now thought-quoting obscure 17th century French literature? Yeah, that's believable.
Is this farewell scene going to last all week? Sheesh, let's get on with it already. With this painfully long goodbye, I'm getting a sense of how Hugo must feel.
I nearly choked on my breakfast when I saw that they ARE STILL AT THE AIRPORT. Not only that, Dismal Dawn is still trying to communicate by mental telepathy. Egad. Will security have to peel her off Hugo as she throws her arms around his knees?
Dawn, when you eventually leave the airport, drive straight to Lookout Point and hightail it to the edge. It’ll be a far, far better thing than you’ve ever done before.
I see Dawn's French has improved exponentially over the summer. Maybe she was studying while Hugo painted, or maybe they've been at the airport so long, she's had time to take a class in French literature online. I suspect Dawn will run into Mary on her way to spend Christmas with the TummyBrained Olive in NY before this tale comes to a conclusion. Mary will be caught without muffins as Dawn sobs into the poinsettia Mary is trying to take to NY...
I'm hoping, for Hugo's sake, that the security line isn't too long. You're supposed to get there at least a couple of hours in advance for international flights. Most airports don't have much of a waiting area before security, so it's not clear where they could be lingering.

We can only hope Hugo's plane hits the drink, but then I'd feel bad for all the other passengers and their families.

Sheesh... I've had a couple of marriages that didn't last as long as this breakup.

Hmm. Reminds me of Dave.
