"Ha ha ha ha. By the way, Estelle, do you . . . uh . . . do you ever see . . . um . . . Iris around at all? Just curious."

Estelle’s smiling because she’ll thinking, “I could crush you like a bug, shortie.”

It’s rant time: no pool party? No new character introduction? Not even any previously regular but scarce characters, like the Camerons? How about Mr. Allora? It’s only January and KM’s already out of ideas. Boo hiss!

It feels like she’s winding up the Iris/Zak/Wilbur/Estelle arc. But that’s more an occasion for trepidation than celebration. What if there’s a segue back to Dawn/Hugo (shudder).

"Have you seen Iris lately?"
"Yes, she seems to have put on some weight."
"Some weight? Man, she's HUGE! I dodged a bullet there. Ha, ha, ha ha.

Estelle: Do you remember helping you up the stairs and getting you onto your couch ha ha ha?
Wilbur: Aaahhhh, no

Could it be that it was as recently as November that Iris was looking hot while sharing dinner with a drunken Wilbur? The fact is that there are five stages of Hashimoto's disease and it takes an average of 10 years to be diagnosed between the start of the autoimmune attack on the thyroid and when the person is diagnosed. Now that neither Iris nor Wilbur care about their hair loss and weight gain, I expect Wilbur will lose interest in her. Looks like Estelle won't have to worry about losing her Karaoke partner any time in the near future.

The next storyline better be about rash everyone is getting from the communal hot tub — because we are OWED after this.

Really?! I don't think this Iris/Zak "plot" even qualifies as a story. Iris didn't DO anything except run into Mary in the hall, and then all of a sudden Zak just shows up like Superman with all the answers. I would have felt better if we would have at least seen Iris pick up a phone (badly),CALL Zak, and wheedle him into coming over before he offered unasked for advice. I agree, we NEED a pool party, or maybe a weekend trip to Santa Royale Museum of Modern Art...
