Mary Worth 3273

Perfect, Mary! A paper bag. Cats love playing around in garbage. No, it's true. Here's our little kitty in the cardboard box he adopted as his home, sneaking a stretch on the tin foil we laid out for some freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, and playing with one of the many wadded up foil balls he loves. Cats are easy to please.

Now that is one cute cat! Shout out to Moy: See, Moy, this is what a real cat looks like... No white eyeballs; no white nose!

Your kitty is adorable, Wanders. I bet all of you are relieved that Mary Worth won't come knocking at your door. Thanks for posting the photos.

So Libby is Mary's favorite cat. How many cats does Mary know? I hope Libby's response to Mary's gift is a glare and a well-placed hairball.

We've never seen a photo of the late Jimmy in Estelle's apartment, but one of Libby is prominently displayed. Hmmm.

"Libby, my favorite cat! Such a favorite I foisted her onto you simply because she wouldn't stay away from my cooling muffins on the counter!"

I see your cat and mine are kindred spirits, Wanders. I have this small tray that my cat (who is tipping the scales at almost 20 pounds) loves to squeeze his rotund body in. He doesn't need no stinkin' cat bed when he has a tray to sleep in! (BTW you kitty is adorable!)

@HeenClark: in addition, all cats have whiskers as well. She needs to stop drawing Libby like something out of the Cats movie.

Back to Mary: I wonder what "surprise" she bought Libby. Maybe some homemade SPLAK cat treats? I'm hating Mary right now. If Libby is her "favorite cat" as she claims, why did she go and dump her on Estelle? I hope she brought some treats for Wilbur as well.

First panel: Nice to see Estelle replaced Arthur/er's picture with one of Libby.

Having had many cats there is nothing better than an empty bag. Libby thanks you Mary.

Wanders, that cat is adorable and, I hope, spoiled on boxes and tin foil.

Does Estelle keep a framed photo of Libby to remind herself that yes, she does indeed have a cat — or is it just in case Libby gets kidnapped and the police need a picture?

Maybe it’s just a photorealistic oil painting of Libby, which is worse somehow.

It's a case of monkfish cat food, which was marked down drastically because its expiration date is in a week.

The rendering of a cat by Estelle's front door is a paint-by-numbers canvas that Estelle did in art therapy at the Santa Royale Senior Center during the period she was recovering from l'affaire Arthu/er. The passion evidenced in the piece won her a prize in the spring art show(a sweatshirt with "I (heart) Santa Royale" silk screened onto it).

I love the kitty pictures, Wanders. I had an orange-and-white long haired Tom who lived to be twenty. Best cat ever!

Whatever Mary brought, I can guarantee that Libby will prefer the empty bag.

What an adorable cat, Wanders!
We had a white short haired cat named Tony that would sit on a tree branch and catch nuts that we tossed up to him. He would also saunter in to our neighbor's homes, get in their cars, and put himself in the path of pedestrians so he could roll on his back for belly rubs. We moved and he died not long after. Soon, my neighbors back in Houston told me there were ghost sightings of Tony patrolling his old stomping grounds.
Top that, Libby!

Libby looks like she is being burned alive on that cat warmer thing.

The sight of the unappealing, not-adorable Libby (the opposite of Wanders’s cat, and our own two cats) gave me a jolt this morning. Libby on leopard print made it even worse. Yikes!

Further evidence that KM doesn't get out much... No self-respecting cat I know would find itself lying on a surface that didn't go with its fur. Either Libby is pandering to her humans or she is even more blind than that one eye, because that mat does NOT go with her fur. I also must say I feel manipulated by KM into focusing on the cat, possibly because she figures people respond to cat images so profoundly that she doesn't have to come up with a story line.

@RobC

You're right. But it was 46 this morning. My dog couldn't wait for me to turn on the floor heater. And I have palm trees all around my house.

It’s a self-warming cat mat, is it? So does Libby make her own gravy as she roasts on it?

I guess it's sort of like a hotplate, but only for cats. Louise F, you're right. I have three cats (a Maine Coon, a black cat and a big fat grey one) and they would never sleep on that gaudy thing. (Although my grey one would gladly take the bag it came in.) I have one of those self warmers that is a grey and black. They all have slept on it. Have Km and JB ever seen or had interaction with cats. JB because she draws that cat like one of those scary creatures from the Cats movie and KM for not having a clue period.

I just want to know what this inane conversation is leading up to: a discussion about clean and sober Wilbur? Karaoke? A second date to the Thai restaurant?

So the old bag gave Libby an old bag?
