Mary Worth 3297

Dawn, you’re an idiot. Jared works at NORTHview Hospital and Mary volunteers at MOUNTview hospital. Anyone with even the slightest interest in this strip knows that.

Today's Boldface Haiku is titled

"More Boring Than Mary's Wardrobe".

Hard. Miss great deal.
Immersed, occupied work.
Moves!
Friends busy! Mine volunteer.
That?

Mountview Hospital changed its name to Northview Hospital after that malpractice lawsuit. It had something to do with a meddling volunteer interfering in patients’ cases.

Immersed in school? Dawn barely does anything. She’s still working on her remedial courses. BTW, Dawn, pour that mug of witches’ brew in the closest potted plant pronto.

@kitkat, you beat me to the witches' brew comment LOL.

Dawn is so dumb and clueless. But then, maybe Northview and Mountainview merged after a hostile takeover.

I can't wait for the meddle Mary's going to do with Medical Assistant Jared. "Dear, you're way too old to be playing with Star Wars dolls."

Dawn is immersed in her studies. Perhaps she'll finally graduate after being in college 20 years.

Ah, delusional Dawn.

Yeah, Hugo's occupied by "work." Sure he is.

And he fed you that line about "only a few more years until he moves here" and you bought it. Don't be surprised when "only a few more years" becomes "only a few more few more years."

I'm as ditzy as Dawn I meant "Mountview". SHEESH!

Who wants to bet that the author will make the mistake as well!

Okay, so where were all those friends of yours the other night, Dawn, when the only alternative to going to Estelle's place with your father, was to sit by yourself in a pizza joint and read?

@ Wanders: Both have an O, N and T in the name, so it's all the same to Dawn.

Y'all have already covered the "immersed" bit, but I would like to point out that June has channeled Michelangelo's "The Creation of Adam" two out of the last three days, first with the hand off of the serpentine scarf and then with this bizarre 4-handed transmission of a veritable cauldron of steaming liquid in a manner almost guaranteed to provide at least 1st-degree burns all around.

Hugo the Francophile will move here when pigs fly, Dawn. Reminds me of Dave.

Wanders, would you consider adding Joan Armatrading's "All the Way from America" to the jukebox? Geographically, the situation is the reverse of Dawn's, but it's the same old story.

I can hear the flesh sizzling in panel one. Oh, head’s up Dawn — it’s hot.

My suggestion for the Charterstone Jukebox: "Delta Dawn" by Tanya Tucker.
