@chesterthedog: my thoughts exactly. Why would you spend all your dough (or Wilbur's) to come all the way to NY, spend money on sight seeing and then dump each other over dinner. This could have done with an email. I can decide who's dumber. I want to punch Dawn for her "What a relief" thought balloon. I guess this is her "clarity". Ugh.
In tomorrow's strip, Dawn gets up from the table in a tizzy and throws that glass of pink Kool Aid in Hugo's face. "So when were you going to tell ME, you jerk?" Those red 40 and blue 1 dyes don't come out of a white shirt that easily...
"Oh! So you have feelings for someone in Paris, do you?"
"Huh?"
"Were you going to bother to tell me that you were running around behind my back?"
"But, Dawn . . ."
"Don't 'but Dawn' me, you two timing worm!"
"Oy vey."

P.S. Can't wait for the pool party, where Mary and Wilbur will be knocking back glasses of wine and taunting Dawn, "Ha ha, told you so! We told you so!"
@Regina We need to look at this again. Why WOULDN'T you spend Wilbur's money to go to New York and go sightseeing, whether or not dumpage was involved? I'd do it in a heartbeat!
Another day, another missing sleeve. Is Dawn doing a strip tease, or is she tearing her clothes in her distress? Tomorrow she’ll be sporting a halter top.
Hugo: I, too have feelings for someone else! Dawn: Are you doing the long-distance with her? Hugo: Mais oui! She lives in a galaxy far, far away! Dawn: Gasp! You mean ... Hugo: Oui, encore, cherie! Elle est La Princesse Leia! Dawn: Sheesh!
Friday Dawn’s having her favorite flavor of ice cream, Shrapnel Ripple.
Two different continents, Hugo? As differentiated from two same continents, n’est ce pas? And Dim Dawn seems to think “continents” and “countries” are the same thing.
“At least we tried.” Bring on the participation trophies!

Also, what happened to Dawn's sleeves?

Wow - clarity - they are both weak, weaselly people.

Everything is better in Paris, even zee women.
In Paris, the break-ups are tres dramatique and the ladies dress tres chic so honestly this is kind of a let-down for poor Hugo.
Is Dawn’s dress made of paper towels?
Extra points for anyone who can guess what the piano player is playing and singing.

FRIDAY
Hugo's not eating French vanilla?
And by the way, Mr. Suave, the gentleman always walks on the outside so that he's closer to the street. What an unrefined oaf.
