Mary Worth 3495

Each of those Post-it Notes on the refrigerator says, "I love you! Take me back! Jeff."

Mary’s auditioning for a stint as an instructor in the Lifelong Learning Center of the University of Santa Royale Community College and Vinyl Siding Company, with Tommy playing the part of the not-too-bright student. “Course No. 39, “Weathering Life’s Waves Without Getting Your Brains Beat Out on the Shore,” Mary Worth, E.M. (certificate in Extraordinary Meddling)” It’s clear Mary is not teaching in the Culinary Arts department - that banana bread looks like a brick of sawdust being held together by Krazy Glue.

And, as expected, Mary’s using the teensy weensy plates!

Mary's ocean metaphor is a little imperfect. If the waves all took two steps forward and one back, we would have a predicament.

I think I’m on the run phase of Mary’s meddling.

Uh, Mary, far be it from me to tell you how to meddle, but you might want to dumb it down a little for Tommy boy. I don't think he grasps concepts like "linear."

Wanders, your comment is great!

Christmas is just around the corner. Gonna go check the Harriet Carter catalogue to see if there's a magnetic frame to organize Post It notes on the fridge.

Wasn't Eb a character on "Green Acres"? Minus the short hair, Tommy could definitely fill in for him. Also, I see that Tommy is showing off his California knowledge of the ocean with his "ebb" comment.Seems out of character. I would expect him to say, "'Ebb'? What's that?"

Even if Mary is using Gram’s Secret Ingredient, her banana bread would benefit from some time in a hot oven. Or is it a new no-bake refrigerator recipe? I wouldn’t eat that, Tommy, even though it’s served on Mary’s dollhouse plates from 1892.

Today's (shockingly late) Boldface Haiku is titled

"A Medium Contacts Carl Sagan And Jacques Cousteau During Their Happy Hour".

Ocean waves,
Ebb flow.
Explain that?
Linear. Forward backward.
Space. Ebb.

I've decided that KM has one of those magic 8 balls loaded with platitudes. She shakes it and the platitude that comes up becomes Mary's words of non-wisdom. Sandi Ego-good call on the Harriet Carter catalog. I wonder if it's where Mary got the tiny pans for her banana bread?
