As far as I can see, Eve is going to continue blubbering every time she sees a necktie, and Max will bolt for the hills (probably ripping through Eve's screen door at some point) every time he hears a car backfire. And Greta? Taking credit for finding Max when it looks like they were all just wandering aimlessly around Charterstone? Perhaps we are supposed to think Greta's forthright footfalls (beautifully illustrated by JB) are the sign of her superiority as a tracker...Oh, no, I'm trying to justify this puny plotline... Help! Mary!
