I realize that Max’s devotion was a lifeline for Eve in her self-described “difficult” marriage, and that’s she grateful for her dog, but this is crossing into obsession. At some point, she and Max will be separated. Unless she goes first, how will she manage that? Give it a rest, KM! You’ve made your point over and over and over!
Panel 1: Either Eve changed from a pair of slacks to a mid-calf skirt, or she thinks a flood is coming.

Can we all agree that KM's message with this "plot" is that Dogs=Good, and that's it? I suppose since she's ignored the entire pandemic, she had to glom onto one thing, albeit late as usual, and that thing is the pet adoption trend. She's undoubtedly envisioning this as a PSA for rescuing dogs along with domestic abuse and now, therapy animals. I say she's tossed in a whole bunch of stuff as a sort of Secret Ingredient red herring, and we'll be wrapping up here in no time.

I doubt it, Downpuppy. Saul probably intended to pat Eve's head (like he does Greta's) but he's too short to reach it.
