Excuse me, Dr. Chelsea Mauve. Of what offense, pray tell, does Eve need to forgive herself? Just what are you implying? I don't recall Eve ever saying she did something wrong. She just wondered why she grieved for her abuser. Are you now suggesting she needs to examine past interactions, realize she was an idiot, and forgive herself?

I'm no Dr. Mauve, Eve, but here's my advice. Forget Gary. The only thing you need to remember are his account numbers and the location of his safe deposit box key.

It does seem like Dr. Mauve graduated from the Mary Worth University of Advice Giving instead of getting a real degree in counseling. I haven't heard her ask one question, just blabbing a bunch of advice that may have come from Mary herself. I hope Eve's health insurance is paying for this session.
After today, I'll never be able to see the word "forgive" again without remembering the day it lost all meaning.
