Mary Worth 3819

I don't think Dawn and Estelle are going to like each other very much. "How did this happen to him?" Well, Estelle rejected him again, which triggered your father's liquoring-up. He's not a violent drunk, he's a funny drunk. Unfortunately, the humor is in the stupid things he does, and this time his stupidity cost him his life. Or would have, if he hadn't floated in the ocean for an hour and drifted ashore on Hedonism II, where he has been rolicking in booze all week and keeping his identity on the down-low.

Don’t blame yourself, Mary! It’s not your fault you senselessly manipulated them into rekindling a toxic, unstable, co-dependent dumpster fire of a relationship.

Well said, Wanders. I can’t see Dawn and Estelle becoming friends and supporting each other. Unfortunately for Dawn and Estelle, they’re asking Mary for answers. Mary’s been repeatedly wrong about Wilbur. Why doesn’t Estelle relate what really happened: “Wilbur impulsively suggested he and I get married immediately. When I said I wasn’t ready at that time, he yelled at me, stormed off to a bar, got drunk, and somehow fell off the ship.” I’d love to see Mary respond to that. She’d probably say Wilbur was just being romantic and fun, and Estelle should have gone along with that. She’s already asserting that Wilbur “accidentally fell” even though she doesn’t know what happened. Hmpff!

Maybe Mary has a Palantir, one of the lost Seeing Stones, and knows exactly what happened. She just doesn't want to play her hand and let everyone know that's how she meddles.

Never fear, I have a tsunami planned for Tiki Bar Island. I need to claim more poor souls to sustain myself.

How long, do you think, until we get another panel of Wilbur in Paradise? I predict his eulogy is going to go on until Thursday. At least Mary could be handing these two sad sacks a box of tissues to mop up their unsightly tears rather than tormenting everyone with platitudes. Next up, she says "Everything happens for a reason." Argh!

This happened specifically because Wilbur isn't a good man - he had a tantrum over Estelle not wanting to marry him and decided to get liquored up instead of taking the rejection like a man.

Estelle didn't argue with Wilbur so much as she sensibly refused to get married to him on the ship. I wonder if she's going to tell Mary that?

They also somehow were teleported to the brown dimension.

Please, I can’t handle thinking of Wilbur being involved in the ripping and the tearing.

Estelle is going to meet the man of her dreams, the perfect man, Mary approved, loved by all. They will set a wedding date and just as the question is asked, “Does anyone have any objections to this marriage?”, the door will swing open and Wilbur will stumble in.
