"Have you gotten a good collection of eager minds?" will definitely be nominated for a Worthy Award this year. I am certain Toby's lectures are intellecutally stimulating and exhilarating, stoking young imaginations and firing their future success as leaders and artists. I only hope we get to attend a class soon!

The dialogue is flowing so naturally this week. It's almost like Moy is just transcribing real conversations between real people. Kudos, Karen.
"A good collection of eager minds" sounds like something Dr. Frankenstein might be collecting. And now we can expect Ian to break into a number from the musical "Lifelong Learning".
It would appear Moy has not been in a classroom of late. "Eager minds"? Of course, it depends on what you define as a "good collection". Some days one is about all you get.

Hmm, a Good Collection of Eager Minds.. reminds me somehow of a dear friend who was fond of collecting An Interesting Mix of Ills.
You may laugh at the wording, but actually my remark was prompted by discovering that after giving up sculpting, Toby now prefers to sit cackling softly in her workshop while trailing her wrinkled hands over row upon row of tender young brains suspended in formaldehyde jars. It's a very pertinent question.
That's the real reason I decided it's better that we not commute together.
It's funny (and pardon me for shooting fish in a barrel), but no two people in this strip ever have a conversation. They just sit in the panel and say things. Toby could easily be saying, "The red flag flies at midnight," with Ian responding, "These garters are shoes without pink laces," and it would make just as much sense to the "plot."
Now if this were me — just me, mind you — this storyline would totally go in a Children of the Corn: Community College direction. Because if Wilbur can still be alive, why not?

@hmmm: The word 'Gotten' is what has already earned it a Worthy Award nomination. Couldn't he just say, "Do you have?"
