During Mary's time off between meddles, she has clearly been expanding her baking repertoire. Soon, she'll have Toby plumped up, and Cal will lose all hormonic drives and urges.

For someone who lives alone, Mary sure does a ton of baking.
"Oh Mary, I was dreaming about my boy toy, tossed and turned, then fell out of bed, and Ian didn't even notice! In fact, he disappeared!"
Even in California, isn't it too early in the season for monarch butterflies?
Thinking about it, it's been what, seven or eight storylines since Mary actually dispensed advice to anyone--in her own strip! It's almost ... refreshing. Only a few casual clichés until the next Wilbur storyline!
@KitKat. It's actually a little late for the Monarch butterflies. Migration is usually over by March. But it is a little early for the best strawberries.
@MissScarlet, thanks for the info! I’m gratified to learn more about monarch butterflies, which have had big challenges in recent years. Regarding the strawberries, perhaps Mary starts her crop under grow-lights in her apartment and gets a jump on everyone else in the entire state. She is Mary Worth, after all.
KitKat, your monarch butterfly comment was my exact thought, but maybe so much time has passed in the Worthiverse since Toby fell out of bed that it is already August, and the monarchs are headed to Mexico. Just found this article about monarchs in Southern California, so perhaps and JB is actually correct about monarchs in Southern California all year round. No migrating for them, it seems. https://xerces.org/blog/resident-monarch-populations-on-rise-in-california-what-does-this-mean-for-western-migratory#:~:text=Resident%20monarch%20populations%20do%20not,Coast%2C%20and%20in%20Southern%20California. OK, I'm done with this obsession.
Didn’t you hear? Because of Toby and Mary so frequently imbibing screwdrivers before breakfast, the MADM (Meddlers against Drunk Meddling) came down hard on June and the Kingdom for being bad influences on the adolescent readers of MW.
meg…. I hate to be the one to tell you this but there are no adolescent readers of MW. Instead of providing a password to access Comics Kingdom to read the Mary Worth strip, you have to enter your AARP membership number.

Is that a Mary eye-roll? Is even she getting tired of this?
Mary thought balloon: "Again? I gotta start charging for this."

Wow! A strawberry pie level meddle! That’s gotta be at least DEFCON 3.
Strawberry pie? When did Mary add strawberry pie to her platitude arsenal?

Strawberry pie? Yuck. I want to live long enough to read a strip where Mary says, "Of course, Toby. Come on in and let's have a drink."

You mean there are no longer ironic and sarcastic adolescents? I’m glad I was there when there were (sob).
My mother used to give up strawberries for Lent. She said they looked so terrible, it wasn't much of a sacrifice. She wasn't really into Lent.
