This is true. Anyone else would set him straight. He is adult man who knows you are his married college professor. But of course, this is Mary Worth and the Worthiverse of Madness, where the right thing to do is always the wrong thing to do.

Submissions are now being accepted for the MW&M "Why Am I Like This, Mary?" contest.
For my entry, I'll steal a line from the world's greatest film, Animal House: "Because you're worthless and weak, Toby."
Mary: "How the hell do I know? Do you honestly think, Toby, that I have nothing better to do than sit around and dwell on your shortcomings? Now hurry up and eat the rest of those muffins. I've got to get back to my kitchen and I need that bowl."
Toby: "Oh, okay. Is this the bowl you mix the muffin batter in?"
Mary: "No. That's the bowl I put under the sink. The drainpipe is leaking and Ol' Man Allora keeps blowing me off when I ask him to fix it."
The real reason why Toby is like this is that Mary has begun experimenting with microdosing psilocybin in her carrot muffin batter. Those bizarre tree dreams with Cal were just a little too vivid if you ask me.
Ian Cameron, too funny!! Why is Toby like this? She missed out on the assertiveness class that was offered at SRCC. I hear it's scheduled for next semester. I'm sure Toby can get a faculty discount.
C'mon, Mary. We know what you're diabolically up to. You're giving Toby the worst advice possible knowing that she will take it and you can enjoy the drama that results from the consequences.
Wonder if School Management would accept Toby stringing Cal along because she cares so much about hurting him as an excuse when Cal goes to School Management to file a complaint about Toby for stringing him along?
Sounds like a humble brag to me. "I am too considerate of others' feelings! It's not that I was worried about getting older and attention from a youth felt good. Not that at all. "

“The Worthiverse of Madness” sounds like an upcoming Marvel film, Wanders.
Ian Cameron, you’re on to something big time. Mary’s muffin pushing has been suspicious for a long time.
I thought Toby was going to follow “Why am I like this, Mary,” with “Why am I incapable of behaving like a mature adult?” but nooooo.
