I looked up how long it takes a black eye to heal: about three weeks. We first saw Jess' black eye on June 4. That makes six weeks since she got a black eye. I might think she was milking it, but if so, she doesn't seem satisfied with the result, or else she has something more serious than a black eye, maybe a case of heterotopic ossification. This story is so soporific, all we need is Luke and Laura to descend into a full-blown "General Hospital" plot.

Jared was absent from PA School the day ethical boundaries were discussed.

Now would be an ideal time for Dawn to rush in and push both of them over the railing into the pond.
On June 28, I predicted that Jared and Dawn would be back together by September... make that August.

Good detective work, LouiseF! Maybe Jess has a touch of Graves Opthalmopathy? Would have been cool if KM had named her Jess Feldman.
Her language is composed of platitudes? She should meet Mary!
Maybe Jess needs to just keep her sunglasses on.
