Wanders, today’s secret message elevates this banal blah-blah storyline. I would be shocked (shocked!) if KM quoted Milosz in a Sunday strip. She favors popular inspirational authors I’ve never heard of. Dawn veers between passion and being a spoiled brat. The Dawn apple didn’t fall far from the Wilbur tree in her combination of narcissism and cluelessness.
Dawn and Cathy are wearing the least-convincing backpacks I’ve ever seen. Plus, are they ever going to run smack into Jess and Jared?

"Friends for several years" stretches the Dawn in college timeline out to where she must be on her 2nd PhD.
Where are they going? School is out, right, and has Dawn ever shown up at her computer lab job?
The moral of the story is to never date any of your friends, especially if they live in the greater Santa Royale MSA.
For this very sage reason, Mary has never permitted her relationship with Dr. Jeff to move past the collegial level.
