So Dawn’s nightmare is fading fast, crushed by Mary’s “advice” - bleah. Dawn, you’re giving in with not even a whimper. Try this: “He needs to know that I don’t hate him. He just needs to know that I never want to see his stupid face and his dumb cat again! I hope his taped-up beater falls apart on the freeway, too.”
Mary’s still clutching that skinny glass with the lemon slice on the rim.

Meala-naidheachd, Wanders! (As you know, that's "congratulations" in Scots Gaelic. Almost as catchy as whatever the name of Zak's favorite band was). You bring a much needed gravitas to the oft overlooked field of MW literary criticism and are deserving of a generous faculty grant!
If you are an old fat balding man you can have endearing quirks. If you are a woman you are expected to apologize for all your actions.
Congratulations, Wanders! 4,000 posts! I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't read every single one of them myself. Yeah... It's true. Because you asked for ideas for ways to commemorate this huge accomplishment, I was going to suggest a contest to see who remembers reading the oldest post. I was pretty certain I'd be a contender, probably having discovered MW&M back in your "hundreds" of posts. Well, no contest; I win. I was here for Chester the Dog; I was here the time Mary cheated on Dr. Jeff with Ron Almaldi; I was even here when Drew dumped Dawn for Vera! Oh my.
So, my only other suggestion is that each of us puts $4,000 into your tip jar. I'll go first.

WOW!! 4,000 posts and you are still sane? Amazing. Congrats Wanders and the Santa Royal Rehabilitation Fund just got a bit larger. Hope they use it to bring back the pool parties. Haven't had one in quite a while.
