Mary Worth 4003

Bad blood? What are you talking about, Dawn? Is this some kind of threat?

There's no bad blood between Mary Worth and those who have donated to the Mary Worth 4000 Campaign, including our most recent donors:

John M.
Cheryl A.
Sarah A.

Many thanks to everyone who has made donations over the weekend!

Referring to “bad blood” to a medical professional, even a very low-level one like Jared, is creepy, but I guess Dawn figured she needed to parrot Mary. I wish she had said, “ Yes, it is I” instead of “Yes, it’s me,” because the former is more menacing. Bwa ha ha!

If you stretch and enlarge p. 1, you can see the outline of a cat’s head, so Dawn’s talking to Mister Solo, too.

I’ve had it! The only way out of this stultifying storyline is to have it totally reimagined by Quentin Tarantino.

“Jared, I’m calling to say there’s no bad blood between us. At least, on my end.

And also to thank you… you see, there’s about to be a whole lotta good blood spilled between us on your end, once I carve your smarmy face into ribbons with my samurai sword just like in Kill Bill 2! OMG.

Love, Dawnie”

What is it with the "bad blood" references? And now Mary is talking as if she's the first ordained pastor of the Church of Soap Opera...

Speaking of soap opera, in honor of M Wanders' 4,000th post, I looked up how many TV shows made it to 4,000 episodes. Interesting results.

Most of the ones who got over 4,000 were (surprise, surprise) soap operas, perfect company for Mary Worth. And these were international shows from India, Poland, Germany, the United Kingdom, Finland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, South Africa, France, and Ireland. Notably MW&Me has not yet made it to the realm of David Letterman (4263), Oprah(4561), or Sesame Street (4691, but considering David Letterman and Oprah have shuttered, it looks like Sesame Street is the only one that can still stay ahead of MW&Me. I'm sure you're all thrilled with these statistics, that is, of course, if you're still awake.

In any case, thank you, M. Wanders and all you other denizens of the Worthiverse, both human and cartoon, for making my days so chuckle filled. I look forward to post 5,000.

Yeah, I agree. What's with the "bad blood" thing? Isn't that usually a reference made to warring families or gangs rather than a failed relationship?

Famous feuds:

Hatfields and McCoys
Capulets and Montagues
Bloods and Crips
Yankees and Red Sox
Brad and Angelina
Weston and Mylo

Sorry, KM; it just doesn't work without some real blood.
