I'm trying to think if Jeff has even met Dawn, or if he only knows her through Mary's incessant gossip. Either way, I am sure he's glad that Mary has reached the end of her story. I only hope that we have as well.

And June’s thought process: “I’ll change the color of dull Jeff’s shirt and add more white at his temples. As for Mary, it’s cowl neck time again.”
Wanders, didn’t Dawn have a fling with Drew way back when, in the Joe Giella days? I recall her smoking him when she found out he was two-timing her. Or was that another woman? Whatever, I don’t expect Jeff to remember any of that. He’s probably even forgotten Peace Village and Mary’s Viet Nam rescue.
Jeff & Dawn usually show up for Thanksgiving at Mary's, e.g. in 2011 & Mary Worth #2462, 2016 Which might be slightly awkward after the 2007 plot where Dawn went after Drew.
Did anyone else hope that Mary's comment was a foreshadowing of trouble to come? Wouldn't a falling out between Mary and Jeff be fun? So, that will probably never happen.
