So Picadee Falls is more than just a day trip? This is a weekend get-away, and it is starting to sound dangerous. Perhaps Zak is about to get killed off, and then won't Iris feel guilty about not marrying him!

That’s a steep road - this is getting more ominous. What kind of cell phone coverage is available at Piccodee Falls? Does “together we can do anything!” include Zak carrying Iris piggy back, or vice versa?
Don't worry? Who said she was worried? Though maybe she'll worry when she's hanging by her fingertips from one of those beautiful cliffs as Zak demands she accept his proposal if she wants him to pull her to safety.
By the way, what is their destination again? Maybe they could say the name a few more times so we don't forget.
These two talk like they're about to attempt Mount Everest. Anyway, I've changed my guess and I now think that it's Zak who will fall into a crevasse and somehow Iris will manage to save him proving that "old" ladies still rock (hehehe). I will consider taking back every mean thing I've said about this strip if June draws Zak crying and screaming in fear.
From the Nitpicking Department, since Zak runs his own company, it seems to me he doesn't need to wait until the weekend to get away. And since these two live on the West Coast, home of the eternal vacation life, how about getting with the modern world and sparing us having to focus on whether this trip is a "weekend getaway", "playing hooky", or just a few days' trip? I want to hear about whatever (probably tepid) drama is about to ensue.
When they arrive at the trailhead they will find a young, fit and attractive woman putting on her hiking boots. She and Zak will take off down the trail leaving Iris in the distance. When they finish Zak will thank Iris for rejecting his proposal because now he sees they have nothing in common.
It looks as if the back tire is getting ready to fall off. If it does then we will be subjected to a week of Iris teaching Zak how to fix a tire. Oh joy! Maybe we would even get a cameo from a benevolent mechanic, with a name like, I don’t know, maybe Bill Billsworth, who falls madly in love with Iris & they leave Zak stranded on the side of the road while they drive off a cliff…er…I mean sunset.
For such a wholesome strip, these bland, white-bread characters all have something against getting married. Mary/Dr. Jeff, Wilbur/Estelle (understandably), the Babes, and now Zak/Iris. Has there ever been a wedding in Mary Worth? No s-e-x, no marriage. How does society propagate in the Worthverse?
Great Question, Jerry: There have been a couple during the short span of this blog (15 years). Gina and Bobby and Adrian and Scott But that's all I can think of since 2007.

Oh yeah? How about getting married.
"Oh, ALMOST anything!"
Someone has been playing tic tac toe on the headlights of Zak's Jeep!

Has there ever been a healthy or happy marriage in the Worthverse?
Tim - How about Toby and Ian Cameron? Not sure if it’s a healthy marriage but they do appear to be happy.
They're the closest.
"We can do anything...except get married".
