Mary Worth 172

One of the most hilarious Mary Worth strips ever. Ever.

But that's only because of the ol' arrow-through-the-head gag. That never fails to amuse me.

I've got to hand it to Ron for the smooth way he instantly places all the blame on Richie and gets a cheap dig in at the same time.

We all know what is going to happen, but what is the correct term for what Mary is going to do: is it "open a full can of whup-meddle" or "open a full can of meddle-ass"?

Good golly, Miss Molly! Is Richie going to take on both Ron and Mary in the parking lot? Stay tuned...

And Mary also neglected to first introduce herself before meddling...O tempora! O mores!

I worry... maybe the physical altercation will begin right there, with Mary getting slammed by a poorly aimed punch.

Fistfights between two burly looking men are no place for a delicate old lady.

It's a good thing Mary Worth volunteers at the hospital as a security guard, otherwise who could possibly intervene with these two gorillas? Hospitals never have security. Oh wait. Yes, they do.

I'm glad Mary volunteers at a hospital (one reason being that I volunteer at our city's Friends of the Library, and I don't want to be anywhere near someone like her. But I digress.), since with these two overweight, far-side-of-50 pugilists going after one another in the parking lot, I'm pretty sure that one or both of them is going to be admitted for a heart attack.
Maybe they can all stay in Donna's room! Yeah! That's how they could work things out! Make it so, Mary!

I just wanted to tell you, I came here from Comics Curmudgeon and find your writing absolutely hilarious. Awesome job, please don't stop! :)

Is Ron (or is it Richie?) calling his brother out to the parking lot, or Mary??! That's the problem with pronouns.

Thanks anna-bat-sarah. I always appreciate high praise. I wanted to leave a comment on your blog, but couldn't find a way to do it, but I really enjoyed your take on the rape of Dinah, which was a hard story for me to "get" when I re-visited it last fall. Your perspective gave me some great, although wincingly painful, insights.
