Mary Worth 356

Wow. Frank's coaching is so insanely intense that Lynn's entire cell structure has undergone rapid mitosis. That, or this has something to do with the Dharma Initiative. Either way, somebody put the reins on this guy. He's nuts! Mary Worth, that's your cue.

What's seriously odd here is that coaches are always on the ice during practice. Well, that and Lynn's free leg, which wouldn't pass muster at an open session at Rockefeller Center.

I've got friends from New York. I've seen that hand/arm gesture that Lynn is giving her father in panel two. This being a family-friendly blog, I can't tell you what it means, but take my word for it: It ain't American Sign Language for "I love you."

Clearly, all is not right in the Griffin household. I hope they've got hockey pads – 'cause somebody's about to me meddled with by The Enforcer.

This being a family friendly blog, I'm sure many of you are familiar with the first scare floor scene in Monsters Inc. where you see all the scarers preparing, the horn going off, and all of them entering the first bedroom to scare human children. The second panel, with all of Lynn's different arm positions reminded me of the one scarer that slithers into the first room waving a number of tentacled arms while doing that high-pitched "loo-loo-loo-loo-loo-loo-loo-loo-loo-loo-loo" thing. I mean, seriously, does anyone think she could get even halfway through a Double Axel-Toe Loop combination with her arms flapping all over like that?

My vote is for the Dharma Initiative being at work.

Actually, it looks more like a triple axle, triple toe loop combination to me.

Don't nobody be messin' with Lynn Griffin!

She has mastered the mythical Silver Phoenix Style that makes her a formidable opponent: knock her down and she channels her Zaf energy to transform into four Lynns who will immediately attack en masse.

Boojum: I think you're on to something. The fact that we can't see the middle diget of her left hand tells it all. Although I think it is more likely a subtle gesture that Giella is making to Moy.

And here I was, thinking the well-documented Worthiverse time-space distortion was local to Charterstone. Instead, it seems New York may be its epicenter. The slightest spinny motion appears to cause multiple potential time lines to manifest themselves simultaneously in the same location.

Now, if only one of those time lines were interesting...
