Mary Worth 733

Bonnie's credit card is not the only thing that seems to have had a good work out. Bonnie has lost at least 40 pounds.

Just look at the effect shopping has on Bonnie! A few more charges on that card of hers (one of which should be at a 21st century hair salon) and she could audition for America's Next Top Model!

Who wouldn't be addicted? and Eddie should NOT complain.

Bonnie did not just lose weight - she lost YEARS as a result of shopping. I want to shop where she shops!

Is anyone else suspecting that Bonnie may have killed Ernie and disposed of his body? If Mary finds out Bonnie will have to kill her, too. I supposed I'm hoping for more excitement than we'll ever get in this strip but . . . wouldn't that be a way cool plot?

She also decided to put on one of her new shirts she bought. I hope it wasn't from when she first got to the mall 40 lbs & 25 years ago!

Her weight and age seem to fluctuate throughout the panels. Young and thin, to middle-aged and not quite so slender, to fit and really quite youthful at the end.

But not very stylish for a shopaholic at any age or weight. You'd expect her to be a fashion maven.

Not only did B?BJ? change tops, She bought a blouse for Mary as well...what a giver.

@lovesmary : SOMETHING sure was odd about those three days we saw the sliding glass door and the Johnson's balconey! And Bonnie? certainly is acting coy about Ernie's business trip that may last for a month "or more..." And after all, Ernie did tell Bonnie? to "DO something" Hmmm...

Mary must have taken advantage of Maisie's/Marcy's liberal return policy and exchanged her scarf (something there was merely want, but not need, for) for a new blouse. And, although she was the one who extended the lunch invitation, she got Bonnie? to pay for the hamburger they shared. Who's really the canniest shopper here?

Wow, if I could come out of the Santa Royal Shopping Center looking as young and refreshed as B?BJ?, I'd be there every day with my credit card, too. Mary should trying spending more - she could stand to take off a few years.

Usually the changed appearances and clothing from one day to the next are at least plausible, if not likely, but how can Bonie's change from Wednesday's strip to today's be even remotely rationalized?

Imogene, Mary had to use her scarf for a napkin with her hamburger. The food court was out.

Yeah, looks like Bonnie just made a quick stop at the mall's lipo kiosk. I hope she at least haggled long enough to get 2-for-1 and the bonus loofah.

Quick, Amber - patent that idea. I love it -- a lipokiosk! LOL!

Good grief! No wonder it's Bonnie? Bonnie Johnson? She looks different in every frame.

On Monday 4/19, Bonnie is back to 40, fat, and frumpy. What gives? I saw no fountain of youth in the mall, but no wonder she's hanging there so much!

Sadly I resemble the fat and frumpy Bonnie much more than slender young Bonnie. It's not my diet, it's not lack of exercise -- it's because I avoid shopping malls. A lesson's in there somewhere!

The prospects of what Moy has in store for us numbs the mind.

I still predict B?BJ? will become a leech now and CLING to Mary and ask her for money, her time, etc. in Ernie's absence. One day she will dissolve in tears while drinking coffee with Mary, and confess she is broke due to her shopping addiction. Then she will either admit that Ernie has left her over the problem, or that she killed him and buried him in Mary's garden.

(I hope it's the second scenario, b/c they're only cartoon people, plus I'd LOVE to see the look on Mary's face when she finds out there's a dead body in her roses!!!

Well, I'm convinced more than ever now that Joe Giella does not draw the Sunday strips. He must contract it out. Today we're back to the Mon.-Sat. drawings with frumpy B?BJ? and Mary and B?BJ? with their original clothing on.
