Mary Worth 786

I love that in Santa Royale, a maître d' with a neatly trimmed moustache still shows you to your table. But then again, in Santa Royale, men still impress their blind dates with phrases such as "likewise," and "shall we." Unfortunately, we can't tell from today's strip where Maître d'McSnooty is working now. Could it be the Three Trees, La Rosa's or even the Golden Corridor? Hopefully, we'll find out soon.

Today's Full Strip

Dear Lord. I think I'm in some 1950's British costume drama.

"Shall we?"

Oh, and how did we miss their phone conversation? Why isn't Moy giving us the full story here?

Yes, it's getting impossible to keep up with the pace of the action!

Someone predicted that Jenna's behavior would be stalkerish. But I think it's actually something else. It's clear that Dr. Mike has lazy eye, and he has asked her to lead him to their table.

You've heard of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants?

Well, this is the Brotherhood of the Butterscotch Blazer!

I'm going with La Rosa, based on the lovely faux-brich archway. It's that or Pizza Hut circa 1976.

In Santa Royale, does it really matter if the person you're going to eat dinner with has the same name as the person you've made plans to meet for dinner? Everybody looks alike/talks alike/even walks alike, anyway!

Also, too, they all dress alike.

Who is this guy? It can't be Dr. Mike because he doesn't have blue hair. Mary's going to be really pissed when she finds out Jenna stood up Dr. Mike to go out with a clown in an orange jacket.

I think McSnooty doesn't like it that Dr. Mike isn't wearing a necktie. He WAS going to seat them in the wine cellar where it's very dark, but took a bit of pity on Jenna, as she looks so unsteady on her feet.

Jenna may be unsteady on her feet because her head appears to be shrinking.
