A father and daughter marrying their significant others in one event? It sounds awesome! I mean, just saying such an awkward sentence makes everything else in the world seem intelligent and glorious. If only Jill would approve.

My mother-in-law and her twin sister had a double wedding. When it goes bad is when one spouse dies and the other one doesn't, then you can't celebrate the anniversary any more because it makes the other one sad. In this case, it would probably be Scott that died first, then Adrian would feel bad on Mary and Jeff's anniversary.
Twice now, Mary has been "happy with the way things are" (in boldface hand lettering). But today's wedding proposal also gets a "maybe one day"? Mixed messages, Mary Worth!
Why would Jeff want to marry someone who looks like his mother? And why would Mary want to marry someone who looks like her son? I know I wouldn't want to do that.
Can you imagine the embarrassing questions and comments that would ensue if those two married each other?
Who is that melancholy-looking woman in the photograph? Is it JILL? And who would WANT to have a big, sad picture like that in their LR all the time! Jeff is as weird as his daughter!
way to string him along, Mary ...
Jill is now in the back, trying to figure a way to spike the wedding punch.
And B?B?J? must have bought ten dresses for the event.
Jeff needs a new interior decorator. And a new suit--uh, I mean a new wardrobe. And a new girlfriend. On the other hand, who else but Mary Worth would be willing to fox trot with him in his orange, coral, and pink living room while he's wearing an orange suit, with a picture of his dead wife (?) on the wall?
I'm going out on a limb, and suggesting that Jill is actually Adrian's long lost half sister! It's obvious that she's the spitting image of Jeff's late wife. Jill was given up for adoption a few years before Jeff met the future Mrs. Corey, but no one ever adopted her, so she was raised by the nuns at Our Lady of Perpetual Sarcasm. That's why she's so envious of Adrian. Now, who could Jill's father be? Wilbur?
Reconsider?! Did Jeff every actually propose, or just hint about it?
