SERIOUSLY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? This character is dumber than a stump. "Gee, Mary, do you think I should try to find someone I've been obsessed with for at least a decade? I don't know."
Is there WiFi in Diner? Cuz Gina could fulfill her mother's deathbed wish in about a minute, and then everyone could live happily ever after (or rest in peace, in the case of her mother).
i just wonder what the other employees think when they see gina sitting around.then again they must have heard the story of bobby a hundred times so they dont mind.
@heydave, your idea about what happened to Gina's father makes sense. In that case, HE is the one who dodged a bullet. The rest of us are stuck with this forehead-slamming uber-lame story line. "Oh Mary, what should I do?! Should I search for Bobby, or should I resume my studies at the Santa Royale College of Waitress Technology?"
Why in the world would Gina NOT want to find Bobby?!!! That is all we have heard about for a month at least. hmmmm............, maybe she met someone at the SRCC. (Santa Royale Community College)
Can Gena chance finding out that Bobby is now Robert and has moved on with his life? Will she slap Mary for goading her into finding him? Will she then seek out a mental health professional? Stay tuned as I am sure Moy has an unexpected twist or two for us. NOT!
Gina should be embarrassed. I know I am!! Bobby, with a memory jog, MIGHT remember our Gina, but chances are real good he's happily married with children somewhere, climbing the corporate ladder. He plays pick-up basketball with his buddies on the weekends. Skateboarding...not so much anymore.

The mother might "rest in peace" but the readers of this strip will still be "bearing that ol' cross".
What in the heck is Gina hesitating for at this point? She certainly didn't hesitate to bore us to nearly our deathbeds with this tale of woe.
I need to find an old girl friend myself. Maybe she's learned to skateboard by now.
Yeah, I can live with it.
Next plot please.
Is Gina's dad dead? I cant remember and can't bear to read over any of this again. Someone with a better memory spare me, please.
@Judith
I think WE the readers may all be dead and Mary Worth is our hell.
Gina's dad, unable to bear the cross of listening to Gina, even in her sleep, "went out for cigarettes" 15 years ago.

Murder-schmurder. Gina's father is still in New York and now knows how to be WAY more than just happy.
He and Bobby both married blonds.
Wait, walk me through this. An inane remark about dodging a bullet spawned all this vile retrospective? HUH?

Gina is such a flake. She loves, loves, loves Bobby her whole life but does she want to find him? mmm...not so much.
I can't take it.
Mama Barone: "Gina remember this, cough...one ape, choke, has never killed another...gasp..."
Gina: "Do I offer french dressing or seven seas with the salad? Mother, I need to know!"
