She's really helping Mary gulp that down with her big ol' hand.
Maybe this is how she will help people.

But was Nola's boyfriend cheating on her??

At least this glacial storyline is coming to an end. To my mind, its only highlight was the hobo. Cue a week-long recap session with Toby and/or Jeff.

I wonder how much of her ill-gotten gains Nola has socked away to finance her education. Will she have to give up her fabulous apartments? Will we see Mary helping Nola with a FAFSA application next week?

Question of the day: What "more fulfilling" line of work will Nola pursue? Okay, readers, chime in!

Perhaps she would like to become an apprentice meddler, with Mary as her mentor. Or does Santa Royale Community College offer an Associates' Degree in Meddling?

Nola will be very popular at all the frat parties. She'll be the "BWOC" (your choice of words for the "W").

Googled my anti-robot words "erwavesi esuageb". Did I mean "airwaves message"?

Nola should pursue a career in Sales, just like LiZZZa did.

This had to be the dumbest storyline ever.

A more fulfilling line of work? I think I missed what she was doing before. Miss Mary must be a little annoyed that a hobo horned into her life's work.

Maybe Nola could attend Law school so that she can better defend herself from all the coming lawsuits.

I am so glad to see Wanders' comment about Nola going to prison. . .She needs some consequences for sure, which she doesn't appear to be getting. Our Nola is a crafty one and has probably figured out that her resume could use some rehabilitation after the Smithers' incident. So she's hiding out in academia (even if it's an online course in auto mechanics) until future employers don't find the gap in her references so easily. She's a lot of things--most of them reprehensible--but she's no fool. . . .Bah, humbug to this plotline. . .

Does anyone offer a course in plot development?

Punky, that was the first thing that came to my mind, too - what about Nola's boyfriend? That's the hook that started this whole silly story.
That panel of giant hand/giant mug is truly scary.

OK, the system is glitchy. Did not post twice... very odd.

So Nola's going to go kick around in college for a few years to find something fulfilling? She doesn't even know what she's going to go in for. As LouiseF indicated, drop out for a few years and all life's problems will just fade away. But Nola wants to use what she knows to lead an honest life. The only thing she appears to know is how to get what she wants. So I guess she'll get her honest life by hook or by crook, by golly.
If college doesn't work out, I'm sure the Santa Royale Sisters of Charity convent would welcome her.

Perhaps Nola will travel with a carnival sideshow as the Woman With Six Fingers. Panel One: How many fingers does it take to hold a coffee cup?

I think Mary needs to consult with Smithers and his superiors for about three weeks concerning Nona's epiphany. She can even convince them to hire Homeless Guy!

I'll weigh in on my own question: Nola will marry Dan Smithers to take the place of the wife who ditched him, and to atone for making his life hell. She'll enroll in the Santa Royale Culinary Institute, where she will learn to make salmon squares and kelkies. What could be more honest and fulfilling than that?

The magical cabinet that showed up behind Mary yesterday just got eerily walled over, and a picture of green splotches was hung up.

Betty Crocker Cookbook cover girl. Providing families fulfilling meals for decades.

Next story please.

Nola was in "middle management sales," which is what Lizzzza is studying at Local U. Nola will need a graduate degree if she hopes to land a job in upper management sales.

Could Mary be smiling behind that coffee cup? Of course she is. She realizes that something she said has made a positive impact on Nola's life. I'm surprised there isn't one of those exploding halos behind her head, instead of that picture of shrubbery...

Nola said she was going back to school, she didn't say she was going to take classes or study or anything like that. I suspect she will "get what she wants" by stealing away the school president from his wife (in an honest way) and becoming head of the Sales college at Local University.

If LiZZa went to school for sales, maybe Executive Nola will take up nursing. But I'd rather see Nola in jail, like one of those '50s Prison Chicks movies!

I think she'll major in English Lit at Santa Royale U. with Professor Chinbeard as her academic advisor. Toby finally took him out from "under wraps"...
