They both prefer paper! It's a match made in heaven. She's not very good looking, and he hates being a bachelor. Could this story get any more exciting?

There's nothing lonelier than a bachelor, sitting by himself in his condo, opening a can of hot dogs.

Okay, I get it now. He doesn't find her attractive in any other way than she will cook his meals, clean his apartment, and all those other assorted "wifely duties". And all the better that she's not loaded with self-confidence since she will be so grateful to be married to him that she won't complain if he starts walking around in his underwear, belching his way through the apartment.

Tom likes both paper AND plastic! He's very ambi-sac-trous.

So much for "the good of the environment" these two didn't even bring their own bags to Food Team. And on Earth Day no less - tsk tsk.

The stress of spending time with Beth has caused Tom's chest hair to fall out. Or, maybe it was fake chest hair (to impress the lady!), and the adhesive let loose.

Seems that Beth would be willing to hook up with Charlie if she thought it was an escape route from her monther. Plus Charlie's video collection could help inspire her on a new romance novel.

I think the last time I heard the word bachelor was on the Dating Game. Single has been the preferred term for some decades, Ms. Moy!

Tom says, "I tend to buy what's easy."

Um, Tom--we've seen Beth cook. You're better off with the hot dogs and beer. And Beth, dear, don't let's go all smug about greens because you've bought one stalk of celery.

I wonder how Tom will feel when he's married to Beth and living with both Beth and Mama Kinley.

Who can tell me how to see secret messages on an iPad? Mary will teach Beth how to make salmon squares and he'll be Beth's forever!

And by him, I meant Tom.

hey at least the hot dogs, bun, and beer are EDIBLE, unlike that nasty salted fish with the scales, tails and eyeballs.

I don't know who that bachelor is, but he doesn't look remotely like Tom.

On another note, this panel stirred a long-ago memory of cheesecake illustrations. Since this a family blog, I won't include the link. If you are curious, conduct a google image search along the lines of "Art Frahm celery". It isn't obscene, just a wee bit riske'
